I was at Target today and saw that the Spaceballs Collector's Edition (The two disc one in the slipcase) was $7.50. Needless to say, this is a pretty good deal considering it's usually over $21:

I'm not sure if this is at all Targets or not, but there was a stack of them and they were with the rest of the 7.50 movies, so it could very well be a nationwide thing. Also keep in mind that this is NOT in the Mel Brooks collector's set, so it'd be a good time to get it then get the boxset for some movie bad-assitude.

Thank you and god bless. I've wanted to pick this one up for ages now and if it has really dropped that low then I think tomorrow would be a wonderful day to run on over to Target and check out their DVD stock.

Not all Targets have these in stock anymore, and my Target doesn't even have a SKU number for it in their book of dvd scan codes.

They had the 2-Disc version for $7.50 right next to the 1-disc inferior version for $9.99! Decisions, decisions....:)
 
What makes this deal funny is that at one target I went to they had the collector's edition sitting next to the original edition. The odd part was that the original edition was $9.99 and the collector's edition was clearly marked $7.50.
 
At my Target, there was only one spot, marked the collector's edition for $9.99. Maybe because there were none left there wasn't a $7.50 tag. I guess I'll try somewhere else if I pass a store while traveling somewhere this week.

It didn't have any kind of special "Sale" tag like they normally do. It was a plain old yellow tag. Of course, you always could get the regular version for $9.99! ;)
 
Thanks was able to find a copy it was in the 9.99 DVD's section with the regular edition but did ring up 7.50.
 
Yup, I too got the last one at the Edgewood (ATL) Target yesterday. It was in the wrong spot, untagged, and it rang up $7.50. Thanks so much for the heads-up!
 
Thanks, OP! I grabbed one at the Evans, GA Target last night with some birthday money. They had plenty in stock in the 7.50 section. And, yes, the regular edition is still 9.99.

I went to see star wars ep.3 about a year ago and they were handing out 5 dollar off coupons for the collector's edition of spaceballs. So today I went to target and used the coupon and got the DVD for $2.50. So if any of you still have that coupon try because it works.
 
Hey, I received a 5 dollars off coupon for the collector's DVD when I went to see Star Wars Ep.3 Last Year. Well I used the coupon today and got the DVD for 2.50 + Tax. So if any still has that coupon they should use it because it still works.
 
I know this thread is old, but as of my last visit to my local Target, its back to 20 bucks. I just wanted to post this to give everyone who reads this now a heads up

Yep. On the off chance they're handling this like they do their clearance pricing, it might vary from store to store.

I'm more surprised that they still had any, really. :)
