Spanish for Everyone on DS=Hilariously Racist ENDING ADDED
Anyone else hear the bullets flying at the end?
It's supposed to be fireworks, but it sounds like machine guns going off.

One of the designers is discussing the game at the OC Remix forums:

I will try to answer all your questions ans interrogations :)

Yes we had a lot of fun doing the game. It was a tight project, not much time to do it and a limited budget (Value title) and it was a Language learning game, so we decide to have fun doing it with double meaning jokes like Shrek movies. All the texts was made by my colleague, so thx to him for this bizarre story, if you know what I mean :)

For my part, I was the lead designer on the project, I designed the 3 main games, the menu system, the point system and had some influence over the music and sounds.

I work for Humagade, a company located in Quebec City, Canada.

I think that the best aspect of the game is that people who don't understand Spanish can enjoy the game as well as people who wants to learn some Spanish vocabulary.

That's pretty much it :)

So it was definitely intentional, and at least it created a buzz around a game none of us would of cared about if it had some generic story.

That's not a fair comparison, though. Shrek relies on fictional characters, and talks about ogres, princesses, and talking donkies...
Not about a kid who gets his DS stolen by a Mexican kid that somehow fits quite a few stereotypes out there. Intentional or NOT, I fail to see his analogy.
Anyhow, the actual gameplay and the script is garbage. There's no way any person could actually learn something from playing this game...except that Nintendo did a horrible job allowing this junk to make it to market.

He's saying that the game has double meaning jokes like how Shrek has jokes that seem innocent on the surface, but are really adult in nature.
you fail.
Thank you. Just for curiosity I went and looked at other posts you've made over the last two years here, and I saw a nice pattern. You show the intelligence level of a snail...off you go to my ignore list.

I don't think the cops showing up at Jose's house could possibly have been unintentional. But yeah, while I wouldn't buy this game, I do find it amusing at least.
