Special Delivery! Kittens survived 2 days shipping adventure

I read that yesterday in the newspaper, I unfortunately live in South Carolina. I take much better care of my cat (who loves to get in boxes and cabinets) than that farmer did.

The cats were in a barn. The box was stored in a barn. The cats got into the box. How exactly is the farmer not taking care of these cats?
