well u can always call your Walmart ask for electronics and ask if they have it like the article states.

You know, I'm a really big gaming nerd but I'll be damned if I'm going to start calling Wal Marts to see if they have a kiosk I'll drive 20 miles for just to try out the 360.

Holy crap @ Kendalville, IN...I live 5 miles from that store...just my luck, I'm in college right now and have to wait another week to go back home....

:( :(
My Wal-Mart has Xbox 720 and Playstation 4 demo units.
Yeah well "a buddy" of mine just let me know they have received them in the wharehouse at his Best Buy.. Screw the 360 we are going for the 720.

Hey i just thought i would post this during my lunch break. This morning, in The Lacey, WA store, we got our 360 kiosk! It was a pain to set up, but we got it working and had a blast playing the demos. Good luck on finding one near you!

I cry bullshit at that list. I was just at the Wal-Mart in Naugatuck, CT this afternoon, and they had just removed the X-Box kiosk from the shelf, but there was no 360 yet.

Just a 720? My cousins freind works for Target and scored a PS5 and a Gameboy Revolution.

Naugatuck, rofl. Why do they pick wal marts that no one goes to. How is that going to sell the product?

Hmm,

What lansing store? There are like 3 them.

Maybe the Lansing Michigan listing is incorrect?

Heres from the link:

Tried All 3 Wal-Marts in the Lansing Area. None have them yet.

Lansing, Michigan that is sorry I forgot to mention the State.

Can we keep this to one thread...there are like 3 threads now about these kiosks. Looks like my good-ol-Midwest is getting them. Hopefully they WalMart by work gets one so I can kill some time at lunch.

Wal Mart in Hagerstown, Md. has a setup. Not a kiosk per se, but the controller and an hdtv perched up high on the shelf. The 360 is behind the glass of course.

Believe it or not Walmart in Saint Johns Michigan (25 minutes North of Lansing Small town) has the display.

I will regretably say i am not that impressed with the games at this point.

W. 86th Street Wal-Mart in Indy has it, went and played it late last night.. i'm sorta w/ the above guy's statement ... not impressed at this point

wish there was a Gears of War demo or something of that nature... I have hope for the system and continued development of utilizing the system but I'll hold off for a price drop / stable mod-chip to arise before biting

Does every kiosk also include the plasma or lcd TV, whichever it is. The vendor set the kiosk up last night at my store and put a new TV in. One of these days I'm going to unhook the Xbox 360 and hook it up to a regular TV just to see how it looks.

sounds like a waste of Xbox360 :D that console was meant to thrive in HDTV
But yeah, those TVs for the kiosks are a bit small, 26" I think?, So I cant wait to take one of those badboys home :D. Pity there isnt 1080p so I'll have to wait for PS3 to test that out =(

It is 23'', and it strains the fuck out of my neck trying to look at the damn thing :)

Anyways, I do have a HD TV, Sanyo 30'' wide screen. I'd just like to see what the thing looks like on a regular TV.

Saw it last night in Dekalb, IL.

I agree with above, the display is way to high to be comfortable.

All I had time to play was a bit of Call of Duty 2.
It was gorgeous and played smoothly.

Not a system seller for me tho. Need to show it off a bit more.

Just called the West Berlin Wal-Mart in South Jersey and the guy said they have it also. So ill be shooting up there to play right after work.

I played today during my lunch break at work. 12 & VanDyke (Warren, MI)

The setup was horrible though, as you have to crank your neck so you are looking directly up. I only played for a few minutes since some asshat had no clue what he was doing, but wouldn't give it up. He kept reading the Warning for people with seizures.

Anyways, it seems damn cool. CoD2 was great, King Kong could be fun also....only played each game for about 2 minutes.

NBA 2K6 looked fair....that was the one demo I watched. Just seemed average

Saw one at the N. Attleboro, MA Wal-Mart today. It was running, but didn't seem to have any software in it or something. You could hit the big center button, which brought up a tab saying that the guide feature isn't available in the kiosk, but that was it. And like doubledown said, the screen was way up there.

Went to 2 Wal-Marts yeterday in Connecticut

No Xbox360 sightings in New Haven
The Wallingford SuperCenter had the unit in back waiting to be setup by a MS rep

There's one on Ontario, Oregon. The controller was broken already (!) so all I could do is watch video footage.

Saw a 360 set up or being set up and the Fond du Lac, WI Walmart

There were two Walmart employees by it so I just kept walking

Aren't the games supposed to be in high-def? I played a little bit of Kameo and it didn't look anything like high-def and the graphics looked like an XBox game. I was pumped for the 360 but if all the games look like Kameo....then Microsoft is in trouble. The videos looked better but I didn't see anything that convinced me they were in high-def.

Well, everyone else who has played Kameo, in the game media, has said it's looks the most "next gen" of any of the launch games. Watching it on a monitor hanging from a display at Wal Mart is not a good indicator of how the game will look. Not to mention, the screens color could be off, since it's Wal Mart, there are lights everywhere, which always hurts gaming.

I thought Kameo and Call of Duty looked great, King Kong on the other hand looked similar to the Lord of the Ring games of current gen. My neck hurts from looking up, so I must rest now..........

played this thing on Friday....suing Wal-mart for whiplash....is this thing at 720p?

Kameo-- next gen is here. anyone else feel like the rolly ball was a mixture of Metroid and Sonic? I loved how there were a ton of cool obstacle puzzles, all within the first 5 minutes of the demo. sold!

Call of Duty-- next gen is still here, particles and smoke all over..i'm guessing by the end of this gen, we'll finally see bullets whizzing everywhere too....Regardless of my bias against plain old FPS games, this game is beautiful. the smoke is amazing--I like how it doesn't texture-pop when you are walking through it. Also saw some crazy physics when i blew up some nazis with a grenade, as well as some great A.I. at work.

King Kong-- didn't get to try it, but I read that it won't be a huge update from the xbox version, like THAW.

Controller-- it's like butter. my only complaint is that start/back are too close to the jewel button. I kept hitting it on accident. Other than that, I'm looking forward to using it.

Add one for Mount Vernon, Washington. I played it for a bit as I was getting my oil changed and I have to say that kameo let me down as I'd been waiting for it for a while.
