anyone know how big of a part the Blowing into the MIC this game has. Im looking at buying this for my younger brother but they have major problems blowing air out of their lungs (if they do it they get a coughing fit)

i was wondering how big of a part of blowing into the mic this is. I know they couldnt play LOST IN BLUE cause they couldnt put another air to start the fire

hmmm, it's not a humongous part of the game. There is a point that to wake up the Spectrobes when you need to make a certain level of noise, but you could just as easily put it up to a speaker and make it.
 
When in excavation mode you don't have to blow into the mic to blow the dust off all they have to do is click the blower tool and click the areas you want to get rid of the dust.
 
So, otherwise, how is this game? Both this and Wario seem to be getting ignored by CAG. I have Wario from a GC preorder and I may return it. Spectrobes I have preordered at EB and they never called to say it was in. I may swing by there this weekend to pick it up though. Both have mediocre reviews, but what does anyone here think of them?

I was actually hyped about it reading some message boards before I got it. It's an interesting concept but it doesn't quite deliver.

So in other words, it's not terrible, but it's a pain in the ass to excavate some of those things.
 
The game sucks some major ass.(Only reason i'm being straight foward about it is because i bought it)I read some of the stuff about the game and figured "Eh a pokemon clone" Pokemon clone Spectrobes is not! Spectrobes is honestly the worst game i've ever played out of almost 900 games

you can say that again. Im glad i never got this game. I got it off gamefly today and my little bro played it for around 10 mins and tossed it down. I picked it up and cant stand it either glad i never got it for 24 bucks or even got it off goozex
 
I'm glad I didn't get it either. I would rather wait for pokemon than spend my money on this load of disney crap.

LOL I never knew disney made it. When i saw disney logo pop up i thought i got the wrong game. Pokemon all the way WOOOO
 
So apparently CAG is biased towards Disney and Spectrobes. This makes my job real easy.

If everyone would give the game a chance and not take this as a Pokemon clone, you could see how great of a game it really is. In reality, this game shares one relation to Pokemon, which is collecting monsters. Other than that, you have an entirely different game.

This is one of the games I have had the most fun with on the DS. There's so much to do, its amazing.

If anyone needs other reasons, ask away.

A game with bad graphics, although it is a DS game
Gameplay is the worst i've seen from all the games i have never play, You attack, wait till the bar fills up and just attacks again.
Why is this a good game now?

I am sorry but I am an adult and I definitely have a bias against disney games, unless its something like Kingdom Hearts that the general public has a very good opinion on, also the games on the genesis like aladdin and lion king tend to have a good general opinion on.

I don't care to support disney so when a game is made by disney I tend not to take a look at it, again I am sorry but I am an adult and there are other quality games out there that I could be playing instead of playing a load of disney crap. Spectrobes also didn't get the most favorable reviews, I may snag it when it drops into the oh.. 10$ price range...

No, I agree with them, graphics mean NOTHING to me, but this game is still terrible. Bad combat system, bad unlocking system. And the pseudo-NES combat graphics don't help, either. Yeah, graphics may not matter, but there's only so crappy a graphics most people will put up with.

So.. graphics do matter to you. Apparently, if they meant nothing, you wouldn't care. And in what fucking way are the graphics bad? They are some of the best on the DS. Have you even played the game?

one of the things that turned me off the game was you had to talk into the mic to wake them up. I mostly use this around people (on trains or in class when have nothing to do ) and i cant be talking to a ds system.

if there was a way to turn that off then maybe i would of gave it a chance.

I have maybe done this for a total of 15 minutes throughout the 30 hours I have logged with this game. And you don't have to talk into the mic, just blow into it!

You shouldn't let that ruin this great game for you.

Yes, I did, for about 8 hours. And the overall graphics aren't bad, it's only the battle graphics that are. I also agree with the whole mic deal. Course, my solution was just to blow on the mic. It was a lot less embarassing.

Edit: Really, now that I think about it, the graphics didn't really bother me, nor did the whole mic thing (after I solved it with the whispering thing) I just REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hated the battle system. Sorry about not realizing this earlier, I already sold it to someone, and I thought it was pretty forgettable, so I kinda forgot about it.

i think i got a neve or something expose on my gums cause when i blow air out of my mouth it bugs my gums and teeth in a way (that is why i really couldnt get into playing Lost in blue cause you had to keep blowing to start the air)
