Is Splatterhouse, Splatterhouse 2, or Splatterhouse 3 coming to Xbox Live or Wii?

I've never played Part I or III.

But I loved Part II.

Does anyone know anything about theses games coming to the new consoles?

Splatter House is a Mega Drive and NES game. The game is basically go threw the "house" in Side Scoller fighting like state and hack and slash your way to fictory.

It's like one of the Backstreet Boys or a frat boy or even a Barbaric High School guy with his one and only going about there daily live and suddenly comes this mask which just turns there whole entire world upside down.

So you dawn the mask and go on a Jason Rampage however unlike Jason you look really hot and your enemies is really ugly kinda like the ugly you could only find in the Comics of Beserk, Conan, and La Blue Girl.

Besides hacking and slashing threw the minions of whatever the later Splatter Houses gave you a Clokc Tower or Resident Evil like senario. Where your choosen path gives you a certain outcome.

So the game is a side scrolling beat em up or Action semi novel player.
Ether way you like touring a house of vicious underworld hel civilians then this game is for you.

What keeps this game sane is that you are a human and your trying to save this girl who is human and only the baddies is pugly.

Personally I could care less what system they release this game on. They will probably do to this what they did to the perfection of Prince Of Persia.

Also the roms are really small so I would check it out for yourself.

What the hell is a roms?

And how would I check it out?

Word search Videogame Emulation.-

Also when I said back Street boys I was thinking about boys on the block or whatever Boy group that was around at the time. Not Sting ether.

My jaw literally dropped after reading this thread.... :O

But yeah, it'd be nice to see these on Wii/Live as I've never actually played em.

Haha.

BTW, Google is your friend. All the info you want can be found in just the first page of results.

Splatterhouse was Turbografx first -- after arcade, of course -- and was never on NES. (I accidentally read the first sentence of a Regal Sin post. ;) )

Crazy. That's not listed on http://www.allgame.com/ which I consider pretty damn comprehensive. Also, after playing it for a few minutes, it's very loosely based on the arcade game -- sort of like a SD parody of it.

But yeah, in America, Splatterhouse started on Turbografx, and a great game it was. Thanks for sending that link, Peteloaf, even if it does prove me wrong just a little bit. heh

2pac, it's basically a third-party game, co-published by Namco. If you look at the Wii Virtual Console stuff, most of it is first-party -- even by NEC (Hudson) and Sega on their respective systems. Namco has a lot of properties it's been porting to Xbox Live Arcade, but the fact that Splatterhouse hasn't made any of its Museum compilations in recent memory doesn't bode well. It's probably going to have to line up behind Mr. Driller, Rolling Thunder, Dragon Spirit, etc.

In the US Splatterhouse 1 was TG16, 2 and 3 were Sega Genesis games... looks like they would be released, it would be for the Wii... especially the first, which I still treasure on my TG16

I still can't believe Namco hasn't done a single thing with this franchise in over 10 years. What the hell is it going to take before we can get at least a collection of all the SH games?! Geez, even a VC/Xbox Arcade release would be a godsend for me.

The games are classics and the 1st one was controversial as well, it sorta started the whole games rating system. Haha, I made a Rick Mii last night too!

Disco-dancing vampires aren't serious business anymore? Well, shoot. It has parodies from many horror/sci-fi films later in-game too, like Alien. It's an awesome little Famicom game.

I actually did a warped Rick costume for Haloween! Just shredded men's PJ's and lots of gore. Fun stuff. The tag says 'hi, I'm Rick'.

Splatterhouse is a decent game for amusement value, but I think the best one was the second one. Awesome music, decent stage variety, good intro and all that. The third game just got ambitious to the point of being annoying. Curse you, Jennifer, and your timer! Stupid girlfriend, always dying! Yeesh.

A SH revival rumor has been floating around since the Dreamcast era. Thus far, nothing has surfaced. Curses!

Well a few days ago I picked up 6 games for Genesis for under $19 shipped.

And Splatterhouse 3 was one of them.

So I can't wait to play it.

Has anyone played it?

Meee. Splatterhouse 3 actually requires strategy to get through the house under the given time limit to get the best resolutions. Rather than being a straight brawler, thought is involved. Sadly the time limit is very unforgiving... I have not yet been able to get a favorably resolution. My incompetance kills people =D.

SH3 even by itself for $19 is an awesome deal, though. I still insist that 2 was the best combination of music, graphics, gameplay and control.

... How would it possibly harm you to play them if you're paying absolutely nothing? Jimmeny Christmas, Batman!

It's not particularly worth the effort to get the TG-16 version up and running (especially if one had MAME?), but the second game is quite a fun little diversion. The third title is interesting if you have more patience and want to see some screwed-up bosses. The second level boss is... different.

The FC/NES version's just cute because it's blatant parody. If I had a reliable way to play it on my setup, I'd actually own it.

I have the JP HU-card version of the first game and US Genesis cartridges of 2 and 3. Thusly, I would say they're worthwhile, but I am a crazy person.

The first game isn't as vital to look up except for morbid curiousity alone. The controls suck (they DO), the stages are just kinda weird and it was obviously meant to sell on the whole zombie-squishy-disgusting factor. Plus Rick looks like he's running around in blue PJs. There was more effort expelled in creating the other two canon games.

Notice, I said time and money. I don't want to waste time looking for the Emulators, Roms, and all that jazz; just to find out how crappy they are.

I actually remember playing the original Splatterhouse in the arcade, although I could be wrong, and the machine could of been a trumped up TG16.
I've never heard of these games.

Is it worth the time, and the $0.00 dollars to play the roms of them?
You should atleast just test them out.

Your best bet is to download Part II because it might be the best.

Yes, I downloaded the second game earlier this evening. I'm actually really enjoying it, it's surprisingly addictive.
