Split Second Xbox 360 $30.50 - Costco

I would certainly put YMMV. 99.9999999.1% of Costco/Sam's Club/Walmart game deals, especially anything halfway decent, are always YMMV. These things vary by store all the time.

Actually Costco Coupons are company wide, especially instant coupons. YMMV on clearance items but not on items that have an instant coupon. I will check my local Costco later on tonight and report back.

About a month ago, the PS3 version (not sure about X360) had a chain-wide "Instant Rebate" offering this for 29.99. I locked in a $25 gift card trade in at BestBuy, bought this game, played the heck out of it, then traded it in within the 30 day limit. I get tired of most games after just a couple weeks, so made sense to me. I did the same thing when Blur went on sale and had the $20 mfg coupon, just sent that in to the trade in service for a $32 dollar gift card, so they paid me $12 to "rent" Blur.

I plan to do this a lot more in the future, actually get paid to play games like they're longterm rentals. Lock in a game's TIV, buy it close to day one for as cheap as you can, then play it out within a month, trade it in and don't lose a lot of value, in some cases, make money. As long as I don't care about keeping the games, then makes sense to me.

Both S/S and Blur are great games too, recommend them for play.

Ahh, I didn't know that the rebate was in the coupon book, I thought this was just another YMMV deal stumbled upon at Costco. I've never seen game coupons in the coupon book before.

Actually I just got the new Costco coupon book in the mail today; no videogames in it, and actually I've never seen any video games listed in the coupon book.

If it's a Costco mfg instant rebate, the discount usually is displayed in the shelf's price display, at least for the Southern CA stores. Can't say if that's a nationwide practice.

Other than store specific clearances which are very rare and are YMMV, all of Costco's video game prices and rebates apply chain-wide in the United States. As another poster noted, they typically print a black and white sign advertising the rebate and attach it with magnets to the rack where the video game boxes and budget games are kept. Costco typically has at least a couple of these instant rebate deals a month and you need to just look along the bottom shelf of the racks for the details. The only coupons I have ever seen for video games at Costco have been a $5 off coupon on $14.99 budget games which they typically do at least once a year, usually around the holidays.

I cannot recommend this game enough. I had a blast playing it. It was an impulse buy when my costco had it for $33 at release. It was a mfg instant rebate. The game wasn't labeled as being on sale. I just took CAG for it's word and it rang up correctly.

It ended up taking priority over MGS:pW and MarioGalaxy 2.

They had another instant rebate for PoP. Makes me wonder how many awesome deals we miss because of bad advertising / club dues.

Somehow the phrase 'Manufacturer's Instant Rebate' seems to make people think it's a coupon. Costco doesn't accept coupons other than its own, so therefore, Costco has its own coupon. It's an instant rebate, so when you buy it, it's automatically applied.

Yes, I picked one up last night for $30.26. the Mfg instant rebate was advertised right on the video game racks for both PS3 and 360. $52.76 less the $22.50 that came off at the register.

Great deal OP, thanks for posting this!
