no it was in realtion to wakka wakka wakka being the catch phrase of fozzy bear
I think it's spelled "Wokka" or "Wocka." I'm positive that there's no "A" in it, though.

Why the fuck am I still up?

As long as it's ruffling my feathers and not fluffing me, that's OK.
Yeah, sad news. My dad was a big fan. Isn't there a DVD out of his? Might make a good Christmas present.
Sorry for the late reply, but there are a lot of great Richard Pryor DVDs available. Everything from his great stand-up concerts (such as Live on Sunset Strip) to classic movies of his (such as Stir Crazy).

I wish that they would release Some Kind of Hero on DVD. I think that could possibly be Pryor's best performance. That, and Jo Jo Dancer showed that he had a great range and could do drama as well as comedy.
I thought it did too, but damn is it funny. Its directed by the guy who did Super Troopers and I think he did a better job with this movie than Super Troopers. Its like an action packed version of Super Troopers. It has pretty much everyone from Super Troopers in it as well
Better than Super Troopers? Hmm, I don't know.

Dukes of Hazzard seems just to be one of those movies that Broken Lizard did just to pay the bills. The best comedy groups and comic minds always seem to have a formula:

1. Do a project that comes from within... something the group/person loves... stands behind... really wants to do. They don't care if it makes a lot of money; they just want to make a good movie and make people laugh. These are often the best works by the group/person. Often the money for these projects will come from the group's/person's pocket; the money is made from other projects they have done, or from personal savings, etc.

2. The group/person will act in/write/direct a not-so-good, or sometimes downright terrible movie. Also, they might write/act in/direct movies that are really great, but the movie that they participate in is not exactly their cup of tea. They do that because they need a paycheck, both to pay their own bills and to have some money to put towards personal projects that they want to do.

Some examples of this:

Thomas Lennon & Robert Ben Garant : wrote Taxi/Herbie Fully Loaded/The Pacifier... 3 terrible movies. They admit they wrote these movies just for the paychecks. These paychecks not only feed their families, but they also help finance other projects (Balls of Fury / Reno 911! The Movie and TV series)

Steve Oedekerk: often writes/directs/produces huge, successful blockbuster movies (such as Bruce Almighty, Ace Ventura, Patch Adams, etc.) and successful children's movies/TV (such as Jimmy Neutron, The Barnyard, etc.). Steve has an incredibly successful career from these endeavors. So successful that he owns his own multimedia studio, O Entertainment. Then, through his studio, he is able to use his money made from the other endeavors to finance projects that he has his heart set in, such as the Kung Pow movies and the Thumb short films.

3. Repeat the process.

And why the hell did I just write all that?

I'd buy it... maybe we can have another one of those 3 hour OTTs again too

I only need to get Christmas gifts for my father and my brother, so that's a load off my mind. I was able to complete 95% of my shopping tonight.
Maybe we can have another one of those 3 hour OTTs again too
With this current line up? Never.

F.T.P.

2 minutes away from my house, I run out of gas (on the way to the gas station). So I walk home (two minute walk, maybe less), to get a gas can. I asked my dad where it was, and he said it empty. So he said he'd push my car to the gas station (with his car, while I steer). When we get there, a cop is behind my car, filling out paperwork and a towtruck driving off with my car.

Note: I had my hazard lights on and was out of the way of traffic.

It is great timing for this thing to be up and running again. I am trying to study my ass off for this physics final tomorrow at 8 am that i can't fail. I am a worthless student.

Sucks, man. Hope that things work out for you.

Thanks.

The shit thing is, I was on my way to work. I made it, though, just in time. My dad gave me a lift (whislt he lectured me about gasoline and having emergency gloves in my trunk [?]).

So, now, I'm working 6 or 7 hours just to pay the towing fee. AWESOME!

I'm convinced that the cops have a deal with towing companies... in my town, anyway, where all cops do is give traffic tickets. You could get a ticket for going 3,000 mph and cleanly fight the points as long as you pay the fine. All they care about is the money.

fuck tha po-lice.

About as likely as Moxio relinquishing the buttsechs for New Year's.

That does suck. But look at it this way, since you used up all your bad luck this early, you should have a pretty decent week ahead of you, that is according to my crazy theories on life :D

I wouldn't be surprised if the cops did have a deal going on.

In Texas, there's a shitload of towns that get most of their money from traffic tickets. In fact, several towns make it obvious that they are trying to get you to fuck up. Case in point:

Be on your toes if you go through Freer, TX. There is a stretch of road that has speed limit signs placed every few hundred feet in an effort to mess you up. And they are in fucked up orders. You're going 70 down the highway and then you have to be careful. Here's what you'll see:

30... 50... 40... 25... 20... 65... 35... 25... 45...

all within a few hundred feet of each other. You're constantly speeding up, slowing down... and it's easy to miss a sign. Shameful...
That does suck. But look at it this way, since you used up all your bad luck this early, you should have a pretty decent week ahead of you, that is according to my crazy theories on life :D
I agree. You've had a big spot of bad luck, so things are bound to get better for you.
With this current line up? Never.
I think I'd have to agree.

I don't think a moldy boner-esque edit/post fest would end all that well...
people seem quicker to anger and blow up than in times previous.
Whats a nice way of telling a girl "fuck off!"? Would "please stop bothering me" work?
Somewhat, but you need to be a bit more firm, and make sure that you are clear in your intent. Of course, more likely than not, she'll still be pissed at you.
Woah, a Blade series. That should be interesting, but no Wesley Snipes makes me weary.
Hint: Wesley Snipes was barely in Blade 3. He's totally inessential to the series.

No, that's not really it, what I was getting at was that this bunch we have now doesn't really, flow. They don't "talk" as much back and forth like the other kids onced did, the OTT now is more like 5 or 6 people's personal blog with out it being on a livejournal domain.

Maybe that's all what leads to people blowing up, even though I haven't seen much in the way of that at all. I aint seen much of anything lately. And all shittin aside, 75% of the time where you have a string of posts that seem like a conversation, it's mostly shitty thinly veiled homosexual comments.

A good point. I don't disagree in the least. Reading the OTT as it is seems more like as if you were standing around at a party, and overhearing 2-3 converstations at a time. There isn't really a cohesiveness to it that once was there... you don't have people seeming to be on the same page, and threads of conversation fall dead, and then noone is there to pick it up and run with it.

Agreed. I'm not sure if it's just that there isn't new blood, a shared enemy, something? Early on, there was a constant supply of new people, which kept things fresh. Then, there became pariahs and trolls that rallied sides of the board to them, leading to heated, yet oft interesting conversations.

Of course, it could just be the holidays... I know I don't even bother to check the boards but 2-3 times a day anymore.

Maybe that's all what leads to people blowing up, even though I haven't seen much in the way of that at all. I aint seen much of anything lately.

Could be... it could just be that there is a hardened cluster of people that are always on talking at people rather than to them... any new person coming into something like that, where they just get ignored while 2-3 other people talk about necro/pedo-pelia and the like will really stall out newness and freshness... and rarely does anything good come from stagnation.

And all shittin aside, 75% of the time where you have a string of posts that seem like a conversation, it's mostly shitty thinly veiled homosexual comments.

It does seem that way at times, with insults and comebacks being more of a key motivator that actual content.

A good point. Though should it really have that chilling of an effect? Is there that little randomness that people want to talk about that things so often fall into ruts and then slowly grind though silence?

That said, I've really been enjoying CheapyD's "Your Man in Japan" posts and threads. While dealing with some of the same subject matter, they've been immeasurably funnier than "Lost in Translation".

Crazy talk. ;o
I wouldn't be surprised if the cops did have a deal going on.
Oh, yeah. It's all about boobie trappin' the roads so they can make money from traffic tickets.

I'd wish death upon that cop, tonight... however, none of the cops in my town actually do anything. It'd be nice if they'd patrol the ghetto over on the east/south side and close a few of the crack houses down... but they're too fuckin' scared. All they do is hide in the shadows of parking lots and patrol suburban neighborhoods for people going 5 over.

Well, I could talk about how much I hate Saucy...

Nah, seriously, I don't like sharing too much about my life, and most others here do not seem to either. I mean, love life advice and stuff like that is better suited for people who know both parties and aren't just giving arbitrary advice.

I don't mind irreverently talking about my life / problems for comical purposes. In fact, I think it's funny when a few people try to (viciously) make fun of me making fun of myself.

Speaking of, I should dust off MSPaint. ;o

But none of this discussion of WHY it sucks is going to make it better. It's like complaining about the president. It's not really going to matter.

The only time I get bored with or avoid the OTT is when there is, like, a 2 page discussion on anime, manga , anime/manga plastic figurines and Neo-Tokyo RPGs.

Other than that, I don't think it's that bad at all.

You should have been ther in days of Sneaky, DeadZone, and all those crazy kids.

Quite the times. My wang was actually still only 6" long back then.

Yeah, I've never been one to harken back to the "good ole days" but as an outsider the kids from the past OTT have at least seemed be having a better time than this current crop.

Oh, they still sucked but they had fun doing it.

WPT.

Good idea, but it doesn't work. People have been busted trying something like that. The cops say that they are being a "traffic hazard."
