In other news, I bought Half-Life 2 for Xbox for $37 at Best Buy. :O

Although the textures are muddy, the graphics; a little jagged and the framerate often dips into the single-digits, I'm surprised that it's very fun, regardless of all of that.

Now, all I need to buy is Call of Duty 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3 so I can have a pool of four games for when my 360 preorder is magically filled.

they really should have developed HL2 for the 360 and included DoD and CS:S. Even though it would not look as good as the other games, it could have been a true killer app for a new system and Live in general

I am done with Fall semester. That went by fast and was hard as hell. Well now I get to sit on my ass for a month and wait to begin an even harder Spring semester.

Bought the MArge Head of Simpsons s7 today. Bitches didn't include a thing to sned away ofr the other box (I wasn't expecting it, but I was hoping). I wnated the head more, but I still liked the normal box.

No, see it's not macroeconomics, it's advanced macroeconomic theory. It's using IS-LM curves and Philip's curves and comparing those and various other graphs using different approaches ranging from Classical, Keynesian, Monetarist, Neo Classical and New Classical along with their views on monetary and fiscal policy. If it were just macroeconomics there'd have been no problem, but the 4 questions this guy created for the final were brutal. I'd say only one of them I answered appropriately, the other 3 are all toss-ups. I'll get my 53 points, but it's a damn shame that I couldn't finish the class stronger than that.

Honestly though, I didn't study that much... I never do, I could/should, but why when I can get C's and B's based off what I pick up just going to class and my good horse-sense? Of course... when you add up the time I spend dicking around online and doing other unproductive things, well it makes me kinda sick.

I'm learning that as we speak. I've got a plan, though...

Lock myself in room. Headphones on, computer off, and force myself to read. It'll work...or at the very least, it'll be better than doing nothing.
 
My new camera wasn't set to arrive until after my trip to Mexico, so I cancelled my order from dell and placed one at buy.com. I'll have to pay an extra $48 out of pocket (including $13 for 2 day shipping) but the rest of it is a gift so I don't mind. Now I just have to hope that my sd card gets here by Monday (and that there's actually something in the box this time).

Bingo, except for Calculus, Advanced C++ programming, and German 3 (because my teacher literally was the daughter of a former nazi), all my classes were easy-peezy-japaneezy. Hopefully, after graduation when I get a real job, I can spark that part of me that actually knows how to do work... then several promotions later I can slack off again!

I agree with that as well. I like having both, but when it comes down to it, the head packaging is pretty neat, although it isn't user-friendly.
 
Man, Phoenix Wright is awesome! I'm so glad I decided to buy it over Trace Memory today. Although, after the first case had a pretty foreboding ending. I hope nothing happens to Mia . . .

I personally hated the head for several reasons: hinge on the bottom, was a blast to open, and just felt uber cheap to me. I personally thought they should keep with the heads, but instead of forcing people to mail in for the new slipcases, that they should have had them handed out with purchase in store, such as BB or CC or something, much like BB had the handout boxcase for the kill bill set.

Glad to see this OTT is almost over. Let's finish it up, gentlemen. :D
 
Damnit, I was winning in my first ever Mario Kart: DS match and the game froze on Yoshi Circuit or whatever it's called. Has this happened to anyone else? Kinda sucks.

I tossed in for the replacement box, since I'm sure I can use the head case somewhere else than on my DVD shelf.

I'm ticked that they are making two sets, since frankly if you buy the head case, they should let you do the same deal as the past season.

What if you want one type of packaging, and all the stores in your city only carry the other style of packaging? Also, I know that some online stores don't let you pick your packaging style and just give you a random box. That sucks.

I know some places like amazon do let you choose as they have a seperate item pages for the two styles.

I'm still trying to figure out if I want to pay 30 at BB or wait for awhile and try to be a cheapass about it. The same goes for FFIV:A. And it's fucking Christmas time too, so my wallet is hurting. Bah fucking humbug. :D

This would be why I won't buy it online from any vendor that doesn't have a seperate page for each version. I'll buy it retail as well, though I'm happy to wait on next BF for season 7, like I did this year with S6.
