Spotting a Resealed DS Game

I got Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 at the B1G1 free sale at KB and the plastic wrap looks weird. Can people still reseal a game without the heat gun method where they heat the plastic? I know that looks way different from the standard corner folds at the top and bottom, but this one has the corner fold though in a bunch of random spots. KB doesn't sell resealed game as far as I know, right?

Can anyone give me some tips on spotting reseals?
 
No problem, at least it's not outright criticism. Different strokes for different folks. I didn't pay for a resealed game.
 
If I remember correctly, Castlevania DS was sealed in a fashion that appeared as if it was a reseal, but was actually new. I'm not sure why some games are sealed this way, but this might be a similar situation.
 
Thanks for all the input thus far. It's much appreciated. Hopefully I'm describing the packaging well enough.

You paid for a new game. Removing the plastic doesn't exactly use the game, now does it?

Since KB doesn't deal in used games, chance are if any packaging was removed, it was not played.
 
Yeah, Castlevania was sealed in a haphazard way. I think you're fine. Maybe check out what the game looks like at other retailers?
 
Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 was sealed in a odd manner. I remember working the day the came in and I got the "wtf" expression on my face. It appears this type of half ass shrinkwrapping appears more common every week. Oh well.

On a side note, how is the game?
 
yea it's not resealed. at work we got in copies of Supersonic 2 and it came in both kinds of shrinkwrap. a lot of systems across the board for some reason come in both. shadow of the colossus for example I bought in that stretchy shrinkwrap, but then saw it later that day in the standard "crispy" wrap.

EB sometimes reseals their older games I believe. I bought a copy of Metal Slug for PS1 that had been resealed with that sort of wrapping you described.

I 3 of that game for my Birthday... and they are all sealed the same... thats how they come..
 
rub it up against a plastic sandwhich baggie. If it slides like silk over it, it's not a reseal. If it doesn't, it is. The burnt plastic in a retail-reseal makes tiny bumps and ridges that cause it to stick to other plastics. Try it out.
 
Many DS games (and Gamecube games) come from the factory like that. I am starting to notice it with XBox games as well (for example at Target, multiple copies of the same game have the thin shrinkwrap).

What I hate with Gamecube and DS games is how there is no security sticker seal like on XBox and PS2 (well at least there used to be) games. It makes it impossible to tell if the game is factory sealed or not.

As much as I hate EA, they really package their games well. They put a security sticker seal on the bottom of all their games and on games with the thin shrinkwrap like Gamecube games, it actually has the EA logo printed on the shrinkwrap which shows it is factory sealed. I wish more companies would do that
