Squaretrade warranty/no serial numbers provided on Amazon.com invoice?

Just bought a new game console from Amazon.com directly. I was deciding on purchasing a warranty from square trade. I notice Amazon LLC doesn't provide the serial number on your invoice. I bought an HDTV in the past from Amazon.com also and there was never any serial number listed on those invoices.

Would I have any problems if I were to purchase a ST warranty with no serial # on the invoice?

Dammit. Now I have to go double check my invoice from Amazon for my Black Friday PS3 bundle I picked up from AWD a while ago, since I'm fairly certain they did put the serial # on it(tons of #'s on it).

But if they didn't and Sony requires the receipt to show the serial #, then that means that my added 2 year warranty I bought from Sony may be invalid and I squandered $45 in credit on it.

Yes, it doesn't matter to SquareTrade if there's no serial number shown on the invoice.

They do want the serial number for their records, though it's something you can add on their website for the item.
