SSX 3 (Xbox/GC/PS2) 14.99 at BB B&M!!! - $19.99 universal price drop

SSX 3 couldn't have seen that much of a price drop that fast, I mean, take a look at how long NBA Street Vol. 2 took to drop to $19.99 (I think it only happened because of PH/GH status). I know it's gone down to $29.99 in a few places (including the EA Store), but I think it's a little too early for $19.99. Great deal, though.

Best Buy, Circuit City, Gamestop, CompUSA, and Office Depot all have it for $19.99 or less now. Has to be a new pricepoint for SSX 3. EBgames, Wal-Mart, and TRU will quickly follow.

I have all 3 systems so I was wondering which is the best version? Since it was designed for the PS2 and then ported to the GC and Xbox would that mean that the PS2 is the best version? If anyone has any idea on which the best version is I would like to know. Thanks.

The Xbox version has the best graphics and sound. The PS2 version has online play. It is hard to say how many people still play it online but I got the Xbox version when it first came out and still have fun playing it from time to time.

I have all three systems as well and choose the PS2 version because of the PS2 controller on this one. I think Gamespot.com gave the edge to the PS2 version as well. Don't quote me on it, though.
gamespot.com gives the same score to every system on each game (from what i can see)
Scores don't matter when comparing across systems.

However, they do have a "BEST!" icon right next to the PS2 version for the controls (4 shoulder buttons is a big plus) and online play.

IGN's review also indicates the game played best on PS2 as it was apparently designed with the PS2 controller in mind. And this was in the Xbox review. They said play with the Gamecube controller suffers the most.

As I only have an Xbox, I'm planning to pick this up for that platform today if my Best Buy has any in stock.

I got it for PS2 a few months ago, and it's worth every penny I paid for it. If it was playable on Xbox Live, I'd pick it up for Xbox.

One can only hope that in the fourth edition of this series, we get some true reason to play as all the characters... something in the vein of unique goals per character and some really unique outfit pieces... I mean, you can basically 100% the game with one character and really have no reason to touch the others...

You can't use custom soundtracks. I love this game. Its one of the few games that ive finished that i still pop in from time to time.
