SSX3
Just got this game for Christmas (finally!) and it is unbelievably good. Can't beat it for $12.50!!!
What system did you get it for? And on what system do you think it plays best? I'm planning on getting it too but I don't know which system to get it for.

My bad, I forgot this was the PS2 forum so I guess that answers my first question.

yeah, I got it for the PS2 - I had the same concerns you did (which system?) and I did a lot of reading up on it and I think the PS2 is the best choice simply for the controls. They are essential for this type of game and the PS2 controller is king...

plus there is online play

it's an amazing game indeed. It takes well over 20 minutes to get from peak 3 to the bottom of peak 1, and theres is no loading. It looks awesome, plays awesome and is super addictive.

Yep, I got this game last Christmas as a gift - going from the summit at Peak 3 all the way down to the starting lodge at Peak 1 is pretty cool. This is one of my top games, and it's crazy fun and addictive all-out. I should be playing SSX 3 online more.

I LOVE SSX3! Got it at TRU for $10 at the start of the green tag fiasco. We should set a time for CAGs to play online. I've only went online a few times and there really isnt that many people on anymore.

Yeah, this is one of those gaems that I wish I had waited on. Then again, I got it for Christmas 03, and there wasn't a ton of games I wanted that year for Christmas. This is a great game (though, I was never able to beat the races, only the tricks from top to bottom. I think I have to get back to it after my Christmas games are through.
I love the game but damn, I paid $50 for it! Then again, that was before I found CAG.
Same here, paid $50 as well, but worth every penny

Great game. Got it for GC, just like Tricky. I just prefer the controls for it that way. I know i lose a few tricks, but nothin THAT important

Ugh, I'd have been pissed if I paid 50 for this-

30 or less, maybe. 20, sure.

It's just that those transition areas where you putter along flatland to the next track, especially on the 3 peak ride drove me nuts. You can barely pull any kind of a trick off, and some of the tracks are poorly designed in that you act more like a snowball bounding in a linear path down a winding one if you screw up.

Still, I got my Zoe, and that made me happy. Though the extras (outfits) seemed a bit too goofy even for me. And I LOVE SSX Tricky. Built up my characters on SSX3 over a weekend rental on this. That's not right. [-X
