Stand by for Titanfall!

I'm running a 5750 and something tells me this game is going to kill it. That would be my luck. Get the beta and then it kills my card. The evga kingpin is oos right now and I'm trying to hold off till end of march to see what is coming out firs part of this year.

Even maxed out on PC the game looks rough. (especially the textures) You could easily crank them down to medium for a performance boost and not really notice that big of an image quality drop.

Got codes for PC and Xbox One, will see if a friend wants the PC code otherwise will drop it here.

(Edit) PM me if you want the PC Code, he already had one and I don't want a lurker to get it.

A very nice CAG gave me a Beta code and its downloading now!  When/if I get one via email, I'll offer it up here.

The funny thing is that A) I don't play MP shooters ever and B) I didn't plan on getting this game.  But, damn, I can't argue that it looks good and maybe because it's the first AAA exclusive on X1 I'm getting into this.

The YouTube videos make it look good. I'm just wondering how well a 5 year old mid range at best card can handle it.

Managed to download the One beta and get through 5 of the pilot training missions before I had to leave this morning.. the training levels are pretty sparse, but I still had to tear myself away. Salivating in anticipation of my next go. Hope I can sneak in some more time later.

Are there any special rewards associated with the beta, or why are people on ebay paying $50+ for a  beta that only lasts 4 days?

The people of ebay use logic that is beyond our comprehension. They have limitless wealth. A rational person shouldn't attempt to understand, it's beyond us.

Case in point, I sold a Fable Anniversary preorder code and someone paid $51.

so happy i got in with expertzone i have yet to get a code. Plus i think i used my alt ea account email i have not the main one that get me in pretty much all ea beta :/

Would love to play this, think I've checked my email every 30 minutes today.

If someone ends up having an extra X1 code, I'll give you any and all of my remaining @gamer coupons this month for it.

i will say that titan fall no it's not revolution anything but man is it fun to play it feels fresh and new compared to typical fps games like bf/cod.

It seems like a lot of people don't know that you can cling to walls by holding down the left trigger...some dude already yelled at me and called me a hacker lmao

That's because they expect it to be like call of duty with big robots. This is more like a love child of call of duty and all other shooters like quake and unreal. That is till you jump in a mech and then its like some sort of bastard child of a mech game. Well that's what it looks like to me from the videos. I'm still stuck at work and can't play it.

I've been racking up kills cause people don't expect it.

The revolution, and more so Titanfall's inspiration to some FPS games, might be taking out Single Player altogether and integrating it into Multiplayer. I like the single player campaigns but apparently the metrics the developers have says otherwise - nobody plays 'em.

Lucky you all man I put in for the codes nuttin.  LOL  Debating if I want pc or xbox one.   Question does it play as good as that trailer they had?  It looked sweet.

I'm buying on PC but I got into the BETA on Xbox One.

I did the training and played 1 match, but now it won't connect to any servers. :(

It was a fun 1 match, though. Hope this server issue gets sorted.

i would say it's pretty much call of duty's and hawken's love child

Servers are down right now. It's a bug and being worked on. This is a beta remember. We are pushing the server loads.

Got in a few matches before the servers went kaput... did very well my first time out, but then got slaughtered on the more open map. I have clearly favored RPGs the last few years - will take some getting used to.

The wall running/jumping is very intuitive.. trying the bumper jumper setting, which I've never used before. Probably the only advantage of NOT playing CoD and other shooters is that I won't be fighting an old habit of using the A button to jump.

Wish we could play training missions while the servers are down, get in a little practice, but no way to do it (yet).

I read somewhere that Msoft, in all it's fucking brilliance, is rolling out it's delayed system update today, so that could potentially hinder this even more. Does the beta only last until the end of the weekend?

Tin foil hat time.

So I preordered the 360 version today through the K-Mart deal ($55 + $35 back in rewards), and I've been thinking about how the 360 version is delayed by two weeks to "polish it."  I think a lot of people assumed this could merely be a tactic to push some extra Xbone sales (even if not many would drop $500 to play the game 2 weeks early).

I had another thought, though.  What if the visual distinction between the Xbone version and the 360 version isn't very striking?  I mean, the reports from people playing the beta are that the Xbone version looks pretty decent, but is nothing special.  And we've seen the 360 have some long legs with regard to its ability to still pump out some quality graphics.

Now I'm not saying there won't be any difference.  Clearly the Xbone is more powerful and should provide better visuals.  But the distinction may not be as great as we would assume, which could have curbed much of the benefit to keeping the title away from the PS4.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking because I ordered the 360 version, or maybe it's not.  I guess we'll have to wait and see for ourselves.  Huge hype for the Digital Foundry analysis, for sure.

It's a beta dude lol that's the type of thing it's for.
Should be prepared for these type of problems it's pretty freaking ridiculous the servers didn't even last 10 hours before an issue occurred.

And don't say "That's what these things are for" remember how the "Beta" worked out for BF4?

That could be a strong factor, from what I played of the game while it does look pretty good it doesn't really look much better than COD has been. I could see them trying to get people to buy the Xbox One version instead, I'm sure Microsoft is putting a lot of money in EA's pockets.

Even though it's obviously a beta, this looks far better than COD Ghosts does on the Xbox One. Big difference graphically IMO.
