Looks like the first of the individual releases of the BluRay EE LOTR movies is up for pre-order, with a 08/28/12 release date.

Fellowship Of The Ring

No sign of The Two Towers or Return Of The King yet, though as we've seen the trilogy set for as low as $50 since release, I can't imagine this will do well until it's sub $15. It's $24.49 for the pre-order price now, so I expect it to drop a bit before release. Hopefully to the $14.99 price point people might look at it, though at $25, they'll pass on it.

The other two movies are listed as having the same release date, though they're not up for pre-order yet. Supposedly, they'll come with all of the bonus supplements as well:
Needs The Hobbit Hollywood Movie Cash.
If they were coming out closer to The Hobbit's release date, they might end up with the movie cash. Have to wait until end of August to find out for sure.
about time, though it's definitely way too much now
Agreed.

It's cool that New Line is selling the EE's individually, but I'm not re-buying the LOTR films until they get a (quite inevitable) 3D conversion... which seems all the more likely with 'The Hobbit' being shot in 3D.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I watched Fellowship the other day with my son (Extended Edition, of course) and I thought the transfer was pretty much perfect. I know there's been alot of crap about the green tint but to me it reflects how things were bright and sunny at that time and just started to get darker in the latter part of the film. Two Towers is very dark as is most of Return of the King, but ROTK was actually back to looking like the first part of FOTR at the end when Aragorn was being crowned. I could watch these movies daily if i had to!
