Star wars Episode 3

Both I and II were great movies.. maybe not up to the level of the first trilogy, but still excellent movies. I get sick of fanboy geek whining about Star Wars, I really do.
Nicely put. I second that.

I'm not a Star Wars OMFG! knowitall, so could someone explain...

*eh, spoilers for those who've never seen Star Wars and live under a bridge*

Could someone explain WHY Anakin turns into Darth Vader? Or maybe he doesn't and I'm completely stupid?
What do you mean.. why? I don't even understand the question.

*coughEWOKScough*

Ewoks are not even a tenth of what Jar Jar is. They don't come across to me as cute and cudly. There are just little furry monsters that happened to live in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The ewoks are more a part of the scenery than anything else while Jar Jar is an all up in your face character that you can't forget of because he makes sure to remind you that he is there in almost every scene.

And on a side note I really hate the "Star Wars sucks unless it is all hard-ass killing, maiming and blood shed" mentality.
I'll agree that Jar Jar is much worse, but the Ewoks did their damage. They wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't play such a major role towards the last portion of the movie.

*spoilers again!*

Doesn't Anakin become Darth Vader? Hence the famous quote, "Luke I am your father?"

Yeah, but I really don't quite understand the meaning of the question..

Essentially - he fell (from "grace"). His body became damaged in a famous fight and he now needs the support of the machine. Over time, he has become "more machine than man" (a la Luke's hand).

Amen to that. Finally someone who feels the same way I do.... Just because it didn't fit every person's utopia of what a star wars film should be doesn't mean it sucks.....

Hm... that's kind of hard to swallow. Which movie is this?

Well, the "fall" is in Episode III. However, you can clearly see this being set up in Episode II.

It is referenced in the original trilogy.

You can IM me if you want to chat about Star Wars?
. But episode II was absolutely horrible. The last fight with yoda was just ridiculous.
:applause: I couldn't agree more. The whole yoda fight took that movie from cool to steaming pile of dung for me. I mean sure I wanted to see Yoda fight as much as the next guy but not in this mega cheese display. He hops around like a chimp on meth the whole fight not exactly the controlled level headed mind of a jedi master if you ask me. The force power stuff was ok although slightly corny. I won't even comment on Dooku beyond the fact he seems forced into the movie for some reason and doesn't really mesh right with me.
