I'm going to a party for my friend's 1 year old baby (kid?) My friend is not into nerdy stuff at alll, but knows that I am so I wanted to get the kid a nice nerdy gift, but also age appropriate. I think I would like a stuffed animal of a star wars character. I found this: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10880943 but it says ages 3 - 5. I don't have kids so I don't know how accurate that is. Anyone have any other ideas? It doesn't have to be star wars, but should be suitably nerdy and recognizable for someone who isn't a fan.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Wampa is awesome, and imagining a baby ripping its arm off is pretty sweet.

I've had my eye on that sleeping bag for a while. For myself, though.
I might have to get that for myself.
edit: and the reason I came in here was to post this:

I got this years before I even had a kid because I knew any kid of mine had to have this shirt. Getting this onesie was how my wife knew I would eventually want kids.
:applause:
I have kicked myself for several years for not buying that when I saw it in Hot Topic.

Not so much if you can actually see the item in front of you.
We go to consignment shops all the time. A lot of times the clothes still have the original tags on them. The parents either didn't like the item or just never got around to putting it on the child. Used toys of course, you need to sterilize but those can be in great condition too.

Several really cool sites out there. I don't recall the names off the top of my head. Was trying to find some of them but the only one coming to mind is Evil Genius.

You just have to decide "what" you want and start looking...
