Steam - Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell Double Agent - 50% off

I got assassins creed Directors cut for 9.99 when best buy had it on sale black friday and i highly recommended it its a sweet game.

I've always liked the SC's - best stealth games imo. Michael Ironside is in it, what more do you need? SCDA kinda had people going nuts with some of the story decisions regarding some favorites but that'll probably have no relevance to you. At those prices I highly recommend them.

I'll probably bite on AC at that price... Steam is so dangerous, with the prices and their sales it always makes me rather indiscriminate with my purchases.

I assume the Double Agent on Steam doesn't have the DRM?
I may pick it up for $5 even though I own the DVD version, which I am afraid to install on my new rig.
Anyone know why Pandora Tmw and Chaos Theory aren't on Steam?
Same reason that Raving Rabbids is the only Rayman game on Steam: cause Ubisoft is kinda dumb.

For future reference, Steam is quite good about disclosing the presence of DRM in its games. On a game's info page, the information listed under the metascore will clearly disclose DRM if it exists. If it doesn't say anything about DRM, feel confident that it doesn't exist in Steam's version of that game (meaning Steam is the only DRM protection for that game).

For example, X3 uses a 3rd party DRM as well, and it is disclosed on its info page. http://store.steampowered.com/app/2820/

Hope that puts your mind at ease. Cheers.

:D I love Valve's steam sales, but hate them at the same time. :(

I absolutely love the original Splinter Cell, but I thought they got a tad worse after that one.

Agreed. I thought Double Agent was a blast though. I played it on PC, 360, and PS2 (they have a few different levels). I might bite on AC, though I'll probably never play it.

Can anyone who buys/already has Double Agent please let me know if the multiplayer functions properly? I thought I'd heard something about it being broken on PC...

I think I'm going to pick up Splinter Cell. I think I've played the game 4 times, but it has been a while and I don't own it anymore.

How is the multiplayer in Double Agent? I loved 2 on 2 spy vs. merc in Chaos Theory, but I haven't played the series since then.

Multiplayer is fun in Double Agent. I have it for 360.

yea I was wondering the same thing

Chaos Theory had the best multiplayer for sure

Thinking about buying SCDA, but I really want the Xbox/PS2/GC/Wii version, cause I heard that was the superior version. (SCDA has two versions for those that don't know, and it's generally considered that the last gen version is superior. Wikipedia has more information for those curious)
