This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Um, ok. But FFXII took ~6 years. Why is taking 10 years for FFXV such a stretch? Especially since that includes the transition from a FFXIII game to FFXV proper, from PS3 to PS4.

And Duke Nukem Forever took 15 years, so I'm not even sure what 10 years of development being a lie is even a point anyone cares about.
The point of my post is that SE is a shit company. They don't deserve to have such hype when they have lied about the game for so many years.

FFXV is on a brand new engine, right?

If a game is stuck in development for 10 years or more than it's probably not gonna be so good(ex. Duke Nukem Forever, Aliens: CM)

I tried the demo on PS4 and it looks alright but there's too many jaggies and low resolution textures used. Will wait for the PC version.

Yes the Luminous Engine. However after playing the demo of Final Fantasy XV it looks to me like nothing more than Crystal Tools with more horsepower behind it. Not that I'm not blown away by the graphics or anything. Baka.

Also has anyone seen that they released Guilty Gear 2 Overture today. Any thoughts as to why the Steam page banner looks like two guys about to kiss being photobombed by the main character?

FYI, new Hitman is really good. They are releasing it in episodes because apparently we are only going to get seven levels out of them so I guess they want people to replay the missions and do all sixty million alternate ways to kill and side missions and online contracts rather than just rush through once and whine on the internet.

The level they have is big enough and interesting enough though. I've put over 12 hours on just that one level and I'm still seeing new interactions, scripting, conversations.

Anyone saying FFXV has been in development for years and years must be on some awesome drugs.
But it has been in development for years and years. It's just that Tetsuya Nomura was in charge of the project for most of that time and he's the worst project leader ever. They literally had to kick him out to begin making progress.

And of course it's going to suck, it's a post-IX Final Fantasy.

Mine listed the same and I found one. My brother went to one listed the same and they had 3. Forgot to say that the game vouchers in the box say they expire today so best to go today if you can just to be safe.
Apparently 1 or less translated into at least 1 and the lady commenting on them selling a lot of them today.

Titanfall is also part of EA Access I believe as is PvZ Garden Warfare so for $5 you can rent both for a month along with Dragon Age Inquisition.

In consolebro news, I picked up a Playstation TV bundle for $30 at Walmart. You can check Brickseek to see if your walmart has any and if they have it at the $30 price. You get a DS3, PSTV, Memory Card, and two games. Probably a good price for the DS3 alone, but an awesome price to be able to play Vita games. Apparently there is an easy hack to allow it to play all Vita games as it comes restricted out the box.

Foxypie Out!
u might want to re-edit that part out. Last time, the pissants got their pitchforks out when a similar concept was discussed in this thread

p.s. CONSOLE EMULATOR LIVES :whistle2:

Pretty sure I mentioned that I run emulator on PC to play my console collection (that I own) so that I don't have to bring my old console out of storage

Ah, I thought you were talking about the short lived talk wii u emulator talk where someone mentioned torrents etc.

Pretty sure you have to actually own the vita games so this is different.
Edit: Never mind I thought we were talking about Vita vs PSTV. :p

Edit 2: Or maybe we were. I don't know. You guys are confusing me.

You do. Originally they restricted the PSTV so that not all Vita games worked on it even though they could. Then someone made a hack. Then Sony patched over the hack but last I checked they just enabled it so pretty much everything works now even without a hack.

Just keep in mind that some games are made for touch and not really ideal to be played solely on a controller.

For $30 I am not particularly worried if I don't get much use out of it. Is the 8gb memory card that is included a vita card?

I think you can use the DS4 to emulate the touchscreen, but I'm not sure how well it works. But yeah, the Vita shit has nothing to do with piracy, I don't think the patch ever allowed you to use pirated games.

That's removing locks, not pirating. Completely different.

Emulation allows piracy, whether you abide or not.

Finally Foxhack has an advantage to his Mexican internet.
You joke, but I've been having some really bad internet problems for the past two days. My ISP's answer was "lol, tough shit, you gotta wait four days and if it doesn't clear up we'll send someone over."

Argh. The net keeps cutting off at random for most of the day, it only works in the evenings. I had to leech WiFi off a local store just to make sure I didn't have to ship anything...

Titanfall night was a steaming pile of success. We had like 9 people at one time.  MysterD didn't show up though so he is banned from all bro events or from stating his opinion about Titanfall based on that one time he played it during launch week because he won a code on twitter.

Was titanfall free this week? I've never seen many people playing it at once.

If Foxhack gets started downloading right now his grandchildren might be able to enjoy it.
Have you played the zombie cow game in your sig? It's on sale at Bundlestars.

Edit:

Dumb fox already owns it. Was this the game we all got by watching Twitch streams? Had no clue it had zombies.

Yep it was that Twitch game. I guess those cows are zombies. Who knew?

Sword Coast Legends developer n-Space is dead. You may all discuss.
I was just going to say if you make trash you become trash and leave it at that... but apparently they had been around for 21 years.

I didn't think there was still a studio around in this day and age that had been around for two decades that I hadn't at least heard their name before... but I guess there was.

Oh, yes - I remember winning that for free on Twitter! :)

EDIT:

In other stuff - wow, Quantum Break's reviews are all over the place for X1. Go check around the Net.

I wonder how the PC version will turn out...

That Faeria card game that was free on alienware arena is having an event this weekend that gives current owners the ability to invite two people.  Details here

Might be good if anyone wanted it but missed out on the alienware arena promotion.

EDIT: Apparently it's almost impossible to win a game if you don't have the full set of cards (which costs money), so it's more like invite one friend, since second invite comes from winning 3 games.

Dude on Steamgifts said:
Finally, this stupid game is on sale!

Here's a copy, enter and lose!
IOW, The damned game took forever to go on sale a few magical walmarts aside and you almost never win shit on SG.

First bro night for me...was definitely a good time.
I made the top of the board once, it was magical.

Between the Origin IDs and the fact that the only voices I ever recognize are Fox & Spoder, I had little idea who was actually playing. That's pretty much par for me, though.

Apparently you can order the Life is Strange soundtrack on cassette nickiminajeyeroll.gif

which is really only of use to hipsters and certain soundtrack obsessed furries who live in Mexico where the CD hasn't been invented yet.

Well, I personally don't understand all of this stuff that comes out on vinyl as special editions these days. Do people who aren't centenarians and professional DJs still have phonographs or turntables? IIRC, one of the first two BioShock fancy editions came with a record that probably nobody could play too.

I hope there's an achievement for when my tape deck inevitably eats it.

Looks like Level 22 '2015 edition' (y no wen free?) owners got free Level22 2016 edition.

Time to idle some cards.

ps. Happy April fools.
