I haven't loaded the game since I did so you could get some referral thing, but you had to remind me about free digital crap, so now I'm downloading.

None of them have murky, so they all suck.

I thought about researching which heroes I might like to play, then I just said screw it and picked one because I'll never play the damn thing because I couldn't stand to listen to people bitch about my hero pick or a skill pick.  fuck ing min/maxers ruined online gaming for me.

 
The only time I ever play Heroes of the Storm is to get Overwatch content, but it was nice opening up some free loot boxes.

The titles tell you the roles so it depends what you think you'd enjoy playing most. There's also a 'flex' bundle with a variety of roles.

Late edit: You can actually try out all the heroes in 'try mode' linked from their store page so you can mess around with every one in the bundle to help decide.

Re: the chests. Those were mostly a big reward for previous players. You got an epic chest per every 10 player levels and a veteran one for every 100 player levels.

You mean you don't like people berating you and telling you everything to do? I played League of Legends for many years and oh did I meet some very, very nice people there especially since I mainly played support and tanks. "Oh couldn't you see i was dying....well yeah I tried to heal you but you overextended idiot". "Good" times.

That, but I also hate "builds". I don't want to play some build someone said was most efficient. I just want to have fun and try neat skills and stuff.

The first time I really experienced that was right after the intro area of Guild Wars. Its the first time in the game where you needed to group, so I replied to someone looking for the class I needed and they wanted to know my build so I told them my skills. They said I was stupid and named some build I needed to run if I wanted to play my class and left.

 
HoTS has 'builds' but they are fairly minor.  There's about six or so breakpoints in talents up to level 20.  The talents augment existing skills except your heroic ability which is a choice of two.  Also you can play versus AI for laughs.  I almost exclusively play versus bots.

An another long time player since beta here.

League of Legends was better in the early days of beta to season 3 before it got widely popular.
Everyone was nice and less toxic in the game but I still would meet nice people within the game.

Like any game you would meet nice and rude people that just want to see other people get upset.

I'm playing HotS to get the Overwatch skins.  Got a party invite right away from some old Warcraft friend I haven't talked to in six years.  Game seems simple enough.  Got 3 wins against hard A.I. but need to do some more matches later.

I had some pizza rolls.  Generic though, cause they taste better to me.

 
I'm told HotS is not as bad as LoL as far as toxicity goes.  I only played a few pvp matches on a friends account though, so I can't really say if that is true or not yet.  I do know that LoL is thus far the worst game I have ever played as far as playerbase toxicity.  None of the WoW servers I have played on were even close.  

I am playing vs bots now to learn a few characters a bit before jumping back into quick match.  I like Auriel a lot.   And I like the feel of HotS, mixes it up a bit with some oddball maps and feels more casual.  It seems like the matches are faster than LoL as well.  

As for the packs of characters, if you want the most bang for your buck, the Assassin pack is worth the highest amount of gold at 145,000 gold to get everything in it.  Then the Tanks and Bruisers pack is 141,000 and the Specialist pack is 131,000.  Flex pack is worth the least at 123,000.   

 
Oh, Mooby did you have more than 100 gems to start with?  I know they were giving you 100 to get a pack but I had enough on top of that to get a couple of characters without buying any gems which confused me a bit.  Especially since I didn't even qualify for a single epic chest.

Ehhh... I'd say less probably. Maybe the same.

I don't know why I like generic more. The ones I have now were the Kroger brand. They're the only generic brand I like better. Although, Aldi used to have megastuff ones (they were larger than regular pizza rolls with more stuff) that were pretty good, but the regular sized ones Aldi has suck, which is weird cause they were the same brand.

I was looking at li-ion batteries on ebay to replace the one in my norelco shaver.

i like the idea of pizza rolls, but for me they are never executed well. i'm not sure what the problem is, maybe the wrong mix of cheese/sauce/toppings. maybe the roll part doesn't taste like crust. i think i'd rather just have a calzone and be done with it.

The bros played Black Mesa's multiplayer tonight. I really liked the look of the game and it ran very well. I'm now excited to play the single player. That said, the multiplayer is the definition of a tacked on mode. It's not the worst thing you ever played, but it plays like an old game and like a tacked on MP mode. We've played much better, but we've also played much worse. The maps were quite intricate and large, but the shooting mechanics and lack of variety in mode don't warrant much time being put into it.

Tonight (Wed) we play Plants vs Zombies 2 (Origin). It's available as a free 10 hour trial on Origin (non-Access) so turn up if you want to go. It supports many players so a good turnout could be a lot of fun. Be warned, it's a bit over 20 GB download (this size precipitated this post) so get on it sooner than later if you have speed issues.

They gave people who had played enough games/levels prior 1,000 gems as 'back pay' since you won't have the benefit of leveling through the new system and getting gems in the early levels.

Also, Idiotekque, the Discord chat info is pinned in the Bro Group discussion forum if you want to join via voice chat. Even if you don't want to talk, sometimes it's helpful to hear us though usually it's just Bah and Syntax complaining.

They didn't last long but at one point in time the same company made mexican style rolls under the name "Old El Paso" that I thought where much better than Totino's pizza rolls.

Played HOTS 4 matches vs AI yesterday...already pretty bored of it honestly. It feels pretty hollow compared to DOTA 2 and LoL IMHO. I may just play it for the rewards and with friends, but I felt it was just lacking something. I don't know....just didn't feel too exciting.

A handful of us (5-7) own it. Base game was 50% off on BF and again at Xmas. The premium pass was glitched on Amazon for 50% off at one point as well. We typically have a turnout of 4-7 each Friday its been scheduled, usually enough for at least one squad.

Honestly it looks outstanding. D-Day has seen VG action plenty of times, but this looks like it could be special. I can't bring myself to get too invested in it, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they've done. Always have had a soft spot for WWII shooters even if they did get oversaturated at one point.
