Time to do my semi-annual purge of about 150 games from my wish list and buy about $20 worth of random stuff where I play the one thing I got for $1.

Nice deal for those that have Invisible Inc and Don't Starve base games.  There should be a complete your bundle Best of Klei that will give a better discount.  For instance, Reign of Giants DLC and Shipwrecked DLC for Don't Starve along with Contingency Plan for Invisible Inc for $3.83 (also assuming that you already have Mark of the Ninja w/DLC).  Great games that deserve support of their DLC.

PUBG is officially released so anyone with a "Don't buy EA games" rule no longer have an excuse.

I tested it out with my RX 580 and on Ultra everything it gets 40 to 60 fps. On the recommended settings (AA ultra, view distance high, low everything else) I get 50 to 70. Can live with that. Stuttering issue was fixed as well.

Buy Earthlock now, get Earthlock: Shouldhavebeen Edition free when it releases early next year.

It most certainly definitely probably won't ever never be bundled before they release the new version maybe.
I bought it so lets throw that idea of it not being bundled next month out the window.

Thanks for the reminder on Sword Coast Legends. Mustn't forget to buy the shitty game that I'll never play before it gets yanked from the store.

You're welcome.

I'm also all about the +1's, but...I actually do plan to try the game out at some point.

I do have a feeling, it could be underrated (Especially for $5 and all) - since people were hyping it and expecting NWN3 here...and that does NOT sounds like what this game is entirely.

Sounds like it's loose on D&D Ruleset (that might've pissed off some people) and mixes (somehow) styles of Diablo games & NWN games.

I know from reading this thread that most people hate UPlay but I decided to go in for the free World of Conflict, Watch_Dogs, and Assassin's Creed IV games that the service is currently offering. But, can anyone tell me if the games have to be downloaded immediately in order to be claimed? I've never used UPlay before. Thanks to anyone who can answer this question.

Added to your library till the end if time.

UPLAY itself isn't too bad... TBH. We just want all of our games in one place for convenience (and also because we buy too many).

Granted I've used UPlay a lot so I'm more familiar with it while I think most bros are more familiar with Origins. (Microsoft has the worse interface now with the Xbox app for Windows 10.)

Injustice 2 talk:

Hellboy has some cool Mignola or Mignola-inspired artwork as part of his end cutscene when you play the Battle Simulator with him. Also, The Samaritan and the Right Hand of Doom are present and accounted for, but, boy, did they not even try to spring for a Ron Perlman-soundalike. Every time he opens his mouth, it just sounds so wrong. (And, yes, I know Stranger Things guy is taking over the role now, but come on, Perlman was born to play this part in a way that he was pretty much none other).

Also, WB chose this week of all weeks to add the Justice League events to the Multiverse for the next 5 days, so if you want that gear, I hope you don't have a family or do anything over the holidays. . . . and The Atom just got pushed out to PC a few days ago as well.

I don't mind Uplay. You just have to add the games to your library from within the client; you don't have to immediately download them. I don't think it works from the website, though.

Eh, it grows on you. I now have an Xbox and a Windows 10 PC so the interface is okay with the app. I just wish you could do a few more things like remotely download games to the console from your computer (as you can do with Steam). Apparently this is a feature that was removed a few months ago because Microsoft.

Since we're on Microsoft Store subject...

I see Forza Horizon 3 Standard is $24 and Expansion Pass is $10.49 for digital version for XBOX Anywhere (XBox and W10 PC).

So, how is it? Any good?

Does it compare to say other open-world racers, such as...

NFS Carbon? Black Box's NFS Most Wanted? Criterion's NFS Most Wanted reboot? NFS Rivals? Test Drive Unlimited 2? Burnout Paradise?

Better than all of those except Burnout Paradise.

I've only played a bit of FH3 but it feels similar to TDU2 and Burnout Paradise to me. However, it shares much more in common with the former than the latter. My limited experience (and expertise) suggest that the driving model is much less arcade-y than Burnout.

Also, thanks for the heads-up on the Expansion Pass. I'm not sure how much traction (pun intended) I'll get out of Blizzard Mountain but the Hot Wheels pack is the main reason I had much interest in Forza in the first place. Also, I'm on the lookout for a cheap copy of Motorsport 5 because I think that's the last iteration of that series that features the lunatics from Top Gear UK/The Grand Tour.

Just be aware there isn't actually much Top Gear stuff in it.

Also the thing that weirds me out about Hellboy in Injustice is how his big hand switches sides. I'm pretty sure every other MK/Injustice character has been symmetrical, so I had no idea they literally mirror the 3d models like they're sprites. It's bizarre.

Thanks @ INMATEOFARKHAM and warreni for answering my question regarding UPlay. I don't currently have the space on my hard drive for those three games so I'm glad they will be there on my UPlay account. After buying Christmas gifts, I'm tapped out like a UFC fighter, so I appreciate anything that I can get for free right now! ;)

I figured as much--hence the looking for cheap.

You know, I hadn't actually noticed that, but they do call it the Right Hand of Doom for a reason!

I guess it's too late for us to get Abe Sapien instead of those sewer-dwelling turtles (seriously, no turtle actually lives in a sewer!).

Wtf? Why are some of the OP's links sending me to realtor.com lol... Update those links. This thread is supposedly where one should go to look at the list of Steam games on sale but no go. What is the point of this thread anyway?

Better than anything listed. (The expansion pass is really, really good. Most will prefer the Hot Wheel expansion over Blizzard Mountain but driving up snow covered roads in the dead of night in the middle of a blizzard is awesomely cool.)

Have you been watching a lot of realty videos where the girl is all like "I really need to make this sale, I've been here a month and haven't made a sale" and then the guy is all like "well, what are you willing to do to sell this house" and then the girl is all like "anything" and he's like "anything?" and she's like "yes" and then he's like "will you cover closing costs?" and she's like "sorry, I can't do that" and then she gets fired and gets into porn?

Wait, is that the one where she amortizes the interest on the mortgage loan? I think I have that one.

I could think of many, many smart-ass responses to that last question, but I will try to be semi-helpful:

There is no list of games that's on sale on Steam here. It's the Winter Sale, which is one of Valve's seasonal sales, which means that the vast majority of games on Steam are on sale to a greater or lesser degree. If you'd care to peruse the last three or four pages, you'll see some CAGs' recommendations for hidden gems in the sale, but compilation of a list of games that are on sale presently would be a Heraclean task that no one is likely up to.

A few more games were added to GOG connect (I had two more today I didn't have yesterday) and Zombie Night Terror is 75% off on Steam and part of GOG connect.

The Division is giving out 5 free crypto keys for the holidays and they have a new limited edition crate set of cosmetics with the big set being a Santa Claus suit.

You earn segments which turn into keys buying completing in game accommodation and also in loot from named bad guys. (Chance of a segment drop from a boss is 20%, takes ten segments to make a key.)

All of the answers you are looking for will be revealed by answering one simple question, 1 x 1 = ?

To be honest the feature Uplay has of searching your steam friends list for uplay user names is brilliant. Takes a lot of pain out of having to have a separate client.

And you have to admit, watch dogs, WIC and AC 4 is a lot of good free gaming.

Parallacks, Syntax and myself been running the Division hard this week (like running Fox's mom kinda Hard). Syntax is on vacation now but im sure Parallacks and myself will be on this weekend. We power leveled Goose from 24 to 30 in a couple of hours.

That's a high recommendation, since BO:p is awesome. Love that game.

Heck, a lot of the racers that I listed, I either really like them (NFS MW Criterion reboot & NFS Rivals) or love them (BO:p, NFS: MW Black Box, NFS Carbon, TDU2).

Happy to see many of my Steam friends buying Fire Pro Wrestling World or whatever the new one is. I played an SNES one and the PS2 one quite a bit. Just fun, possibly challenging, very good wrestling games.

We also spent a couple hours trying to teach Weiler how to use the 37 different currencies in the game.

The last two weeks of playing The Division have been a blast. While I had spent a hundred hours at launch exploring the game world, I quit playing before any of the expansions and major updates. Now getting my first taste of the end-game content, i've rapidly become hooked. Our forays through the harder game modes have been a fun mix of steamrolling through street trash, getting into tense and drawn out firefights, and occasionally being wrecked by mobs for which we clearly were unprepared.

The Division's combo of the lootspam from Diablo-style ARPGs and gunplay which reminds me of the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer horde mode has been extremely satisfying. Really glad I came back to it.

Guess I'm never playing The Division again. Thanks Parallacks!

I really regret not picking up The Division Gold Edition when it was $27. My problem has always been that I played the game on XB1 and have so much invested in my character over there plus I have the gold edition, so having to not only rebuy but restart is off-putting. I've been watching a lot of Division streams on Twitch and have been wanting to get back into it, but then I remember I have to use a controller and play my Xbox.

Glad to hear of others finding fun in the Division. :)

I work tonight, my days off changed a month or so ago, but I should be around this weekend and I'm more than willing to help gear everyone up to 256.

(And the best part is that there 8s so little I need gear wise that everything that drops for me is pretty much free to all.)

I only have room in my brain for 2 currencies and those slots are full with american greenbacks and gaben bucks.

Honestly, The Division is like a free to play mobile game gone bad with all the different currencies. Sounds like they added a new one just for a xmas event. Sigh

Frankly, if you can handle starting over or playing it all over again you still get a lot of hours out of it on PC.

Really, not that many currencies.

Phoenix Credits: Some recalibration and Blueprints.

lies

you have electronics, tools, weap parts, fabric in 3 difference colors just to build something

cash

phoenix credits

cypto things

something to unlock skins and crap

underground thingamajigs for difficulty

HVP currency

Heck even building up your base is really based on 3 different "currencies"

global event currency

Isnt there something in the dark zone too?

Those are just off the top of my head, Im sure there are another 10 I havent even scratched yet, or just forgot about

Hmm even though my backlog of games is growing ... I am considering the Age of Decadence & Dungeon Rats bundle that's currently on sale via STEAM. Anyone play either/both of those? Thanks!

so the reason why the link redirects me to realtor.com is because "1"?
Due to all the money we've saved by switching to geico from steam sales we have all moved on from flipping +1s for card profit and flip houses instead.

I haven't played it, but I'm pretty sure its at an all time low. It's been on my wishlist for awhile and I am likely going to pick it up before the sale ends as well.

Parallacks: Weiler, press Tab to enter the Underground with us.
Weiler: How would I know that? I've never had to hit Tab before in this game before.
Syntax: Wait. You're using a marksman rifle. How do you use your scope?
Weiler: My scope is attached.
Syntax: But how do you zoom in with the scope?
Weiler: How do I what?
