gee golly, thanks for that The Escapists 2 coupon, considering I already have the game

Has anyone here played Generation Zero and is it as bad as I've been led to understand?

Also, Rage 2 next Tuesday, yay.

i'll hop back in when the patch/raid drops. right now im super unsatisfied with endgame sets/builds.
I'm not hearing great things on that front either. I ended up taking a break for over a month now so I'm still low level. I think it was a patch 2-3 weeks ago that killed any interest I had to get back into the game when the reddit forum was full of complaints of 3-6min loading times on even brand new cpus.

Load times were fixed a week or so ago.  New major patch coming soon that will re-do how calibration works and a pass over a bunch of gear talents.  Raid will come later this month (but it still part of this update as a whole) so people get a chance to rework their builds with the new system before jumping into the raid.

Polygon - Leak by retail displays the next game as Ghost Recon: Breakpoint for PC, PS4, X1 for this October (2019):

I've only seen the first season so I have no idea what is going on, but I noticed a few people on a forum I frequent were essentially raging about the last two episodes, especially the most recent and have already decided GoT is going to have the most disappointing finale in TV history.  This after literally nothing but praise for the show for years now.

Actually, the show began to lose itself a bit around Season 5, as they really didn't have the books to follow (since George RR Martin, the writer of the books, hasn't completed them). Plus, they (the GOT HBO show writers) been doing their own thing w/ the show for a few seasons, anyways.

It really began to show horribly in the last 2 episodes of this Season (The Long Night AKA Battle of Winterfell) and the one that just aired Sunday (where to begin on this one)?

A lot of characters are doing very un-characteristic things (with little explanation and/or warning); a lot of the story-lines feel very rushed (as if HBO's trying to wrap all this up suddenly b/c maybe the show is costing them too much money and/or they might want to move on); and what was once dark fantasy and doing unconventional things & unpredictable things (one of the things this show is really known for, especially in most Seasons before Season 5) is all of a sudden getting turning into generic fantasy, trope-laced, and filled w/ predictability.

It's almost as if the last 2 episodes were written by a very bad GOT fan-faction writer.

Are some of you guys still playing Derpvision? Just now jumping in.
I meant to reply to this the other day but forgot. I still play but not as much as I did... The soon to be changes to talents sort of annoyed the hell out of me... They need to be done but anyone could have looked at release and seen the trouble brewing... Which makes me think that Massive didn't test their own shit before release. Which is annoying.

Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be back into it hard in a week or so.

Thanks, appreciate everyone's take on the game. Just now starting since I got it for free (AMD). I hear a lot of misgivings about the endgame state but I plan to at least play up to that point.

Are these coming updates everyone mentions part of the base game or season pass?

LAME...

Divide by Sheep and Fearless Fantasy don't unlock card drops.

I remember reading about the new giveaway system on Steam that would do that, but Kathy Rain unlocked drops so I figured they hadn't implemented that yet.  I feared it wouldn't when it said 100% off instead of just Free.

I'm still playing Div 2 daily and enjoy myself although right now it's hard to get too invested in the end game gear since they're going to be changing a bunch of things.  The 1-30 game is solid though and I'm having fun getting Commendations and stuff while I wait for the patch to shake out.

Div 2 is good.  I haven't really played it in the last 3 weeks.  I'll resume playing when I can progress again.  The last couple weeks that I spent playing the game I wasn't finding any upgrades; my equipment is close to ideal.   No point in grinding hard for godroll i500 equipment when ilvl caps are going to be raised again in the near future.  It's a great game and I don't want to burn myself out.

If you got Assassins Creed Origins from the Humble Bundle, they now have the season pass on sale for $7.19 (if you are a subscriber) which is a nice price.

It's almost as if the last 2 episodes were written by a very bad GOT fan-faction writer.
The only thing that makes it "almost as if" as opposed to "literally that" is that you didn't pluralize "writers". The next two episodes are also written by Dan and Dave, expect them to similarly suck.

I've enjoyed The Division 2. I didn't even get to level 30 in Div1, but I'm at WT5 in 2 thanks to the Bros power leveling me. Not sure if I would have done it on my own since I'm not a huge fan of grinding solo. I prefer to run missions in groups. I haven't played in about a week mostly because I need 100 polycarbonate to upgrade my crafting bench and I got lazy about it. Plus I've been trying to finish Wildlands.

Totally off topic but if anyone likes seafood, try Aquastar brand if you can find it.

Best breaded frozen fish I ever tried.

New Predator game coming in 2020 on PS4 from the folks that made that Friday the 13th game.  Partnered with Sony makes this sound like it won't be on PC but without knowing the details it might just be a timed exclusive.  Looks interesting at any rate, the first game in this particular genre that I actually have a real interest in.  Assuming it leans into the theme of the original movie as much as it seems to.   I could have just linked the trailer but I wanted to link to Polygon.   :bouncy:
