I'm still okay with gog galaxy client despite its pretty lackluster state because now I have a place for all my gog games. It takes care of the annoyingness of having non steam games in my steam library.

Yeah there was a thing on the front page squawking about limited supply. I was contemplating that one as well.

Let's face it though, we're talking about Square Enix so it's not like it's never going to be on sale again.

Honestly, I have no clue. Even GameStop is selling the GOG version, so I guess they're scammers too. Did someone spike the water in Poland?

It means that GOG makes no damn sense. Some devs sell GOG keys via Humble widget, and GOG keys occasionally get bundled by Groupees, which apparently aren't legit according to GOG!

 
It's really a shame. GOG is starting to look like that crazy uncle who you always have to invite to family events, but no one really likes because he's batshit crazy.

Well, an "authorized reseller" would sort of be a retailer by definition. GOG is selling them keys at a wholesale rate with the purpose of reselling them at a retail rate.

Does this mean my Steam copy of Witcher 3 is illegitimate? Gasp! (Actually GOG is publishing through Steam but that doesn't answer for Amazon 'n stuff)

It's like they wanted to say 'LOL OMG GMG SUXX DONT BAI FRM THEM!!!' but thought they would be cool and not mention them by name only they phrased it so ambiguous and used the GOG Twitter where they really should have been using the CDP Twitter that it can be interpreted a bunch of different and rather hilarious ways and makes them look like a total joke.

Steamworks so it works on all available platforms once activated. I think the Mac version is by a different publisher (Aspyr) so it's listed as a different version but there's no practical difference to the player -- it'll run on Mac or PC (and Linux if supported)

People could and probably should do those elsewhere like the Steam Code Drop Thread in the Contests and Free Stuff Board. And if they absolutely must do it here then it'd be nice if people PM'ed their thank yous or posted feedback on the giver's page or whatever.

It's not like we need 20 "thanks" posts which is of no interest to anyone but the giver and receiver.

But nobody listens or cares and people are bored from lackluster sales and owning too much crap already I guess.

 
Personally, I don't really go to any other thread on CAG and appreciate the key drops here.  I think it adds to the community feel of the thread and don't mind the 'thanks' posts.  Besides, it gives me something to scroll through other than dino-porn and Dark Souls discussion.
