This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

My Steam sale wishlist is the hope for 40-60% off game titles I have no interest in (10-15% interested titles). Also, 25-33% game creation/music/utility software in the daily or community vote slots. Please, Gaben, make it happen.

I hope for some sort of user-wide contest involving the buying and selling of cards, emotes, gems, diamonds, human souls, or some silly, new, doesn't-actually-have-any-monetary-value thing.

My vote is, once more, for Steam Pogs.

I had forgotten X-wing was on Steam now... yea.. those games would be great... (even if I do already own them all on various medias)

On another note... people who backed Bards Tale IV...

Exciting news today: every backer of The Bard’s Tale IV ($20 or more) will get free digital copies of the original The Bard’s Tale, The Bard’s Tale II: The Destiny Knight and The Bard’s Tale III: Thief of Fate!

For all my #clickerbros, if you are running the game in the background as you do other stuff, be sure to check periodically and click on the oranges, they give you money but most importantly, will drop rubies from time to time which usually cost real money.  I'm up to 13 rubies myself and want to buy some gilded heros when I get 30.

I saw that. They got the original programmer back to do the job.

Now if only we'd get these fixed versions on the other The Bard's Tale game. You know, the funny one.

GOG is sale-ing (I know that's not a word) Legend of Grimrock 2 for $6. Should I wait for Summer sale?
Do you want it on Steam?

Do you want it DRM-FREE?

If "yes" to Steam & "No" for DRM-FREE -> wait for Steam sale.

If "yes" to DRM-FREE + "No" to Steam -> buy it on GOG.

If "Yes" to DRM-FREE + "Yes" to Steam + your name is MysterD -> wait for HumbleBundle sale.

You've been playing WAY longer than me.... how do you only have 13? I'm at 20. Course I just passed level 70 too.... so.. choo choo.

I don't know if steam will match the discount (I won't bet on it), but I'd rather wait and buy it there because... the workshop. I've seen some mods I want to try

EDIT:

Adding my picks for Steam Sale.

Grim Fandango

X-Wing and TIE Fighter

Transistor

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

Metro Redux games

Final Fantasy games if below 5bucks

MGS : Ground Zeroes

Anything else will depend on discounts.
AC4: Black Flag is awesome, IMHO.

Also, Freedom Cry DLC is pretty good, as well.

My understanding is that the "Free Ascension" with hero souls gives a better DPS boost than getting three randomly gilded heroes.

Weird... Jurassic World is getting decent reviews (which is all I was hoping for)...

The Lego game SAYS it's coming to PC.. but I don't see it on Steam....

If I can't PC this puppy, it'll be 3DS'd.... and it looks fantastic.... Y U NO LIKE STEAM!?!?

Is Bundlestars trustworthy?  They're running a special with it and the Lego Movie game + DLC for 30 bucks.... when you see UPlay selling just Jurassic World for 60 bucks...

Bundlestars gets their keys by beating up African child miners who are forced to excavate for Steam keys.  Also, every fifteenth key is actually a key for Shannon Tweed's Attack of the Groupees.

I am ashamed to be a cag right now
Why? This game is the epitome of CAG... literally a FREE GAME....Hell not only is it FREE.. but I just sit here and BS with you guys... and it plays...

So is that trustworthy or not? Seems cheaper than most.... course.. knowing my luck.. it won't release properly on Steam.

Well, I'm all prepared to be disappointed.

I wanted Dungeon of the Endless on a > 50% off sale.  Would have loved 66% off.

Right now it's 33% off.

I think it's safe to say it won't go lower this sale.... Sigh.

Here's my hopes + dreams for Steam Summer Sale 2015:

$5 (or less); OR 75% off or better (depends on what gives a lower price):

WWE 2K15

Pillars of Eternity

GTA 5

FFXIII-2

Any other FF games on Steam

Dying Light

AC: Syndicate pre-order

COD: AW 2

COD: Black Ops III pre-order

Grim Dawn

Hotline Miami 2

Life is Strange - Complete Season

Dreamfall Chapters - Complete Season

Any other AAA titles that I should have on this list

Any other RPG's that I should have on this list

NVidia GF GTX 970/980 regular/980 Ti/Titan Z

IN other words...

IN for all kinds of disappointment w/ this upcoming Steam Sale!

Bundlestars is legit. Just make sure you buy their bundlestars shield insurance to protect your purchase. It would be a shame to see something unfortunate happen to those keys because you didn't get it.

I can't stop playing clicker heroes. I blame Eldredpe in my friendlist. I never would've noticed it unless I saw him playing (276 hours) it in my news feed.

Also, expect TinyKeep to be bundled soon. You all are welcome.

Don't do it. It's a trap. I got like 90 during my playtime.

It is Focus. Bottom of the page:

You'd think they could get me a decent price on Styx.
Not sure if you're serious or not, but Focus Multimedia has nothing to do with Focus Home Interactive.

i have it on good authority that a nvidia titan will be sold as a downloadable graphics card for five dollars during the steam sale

I gotta admit...almost anyone can put together a gaming rig in this day in age. I could go on about all the compatibility s*** from the 90s and early 2000s but I'm sure many of you are older than I to know how expensive 512K ram was in the 80s.

My parents told me that if I wanted to build a machine I needed to go through A+ certification classes first (and because I have a tendency to destroy about 60% of everything I touch). After getting that done I built my machine in two hours and was like...WTF?!?!?? This is a cakewalk! A lot of stuff just works these days. And if it doesn't? Check the interwebs; someone already likely tried it and maybe even fixed it.

That old mentality of looking at the guts of a PC then throwing your hands up saying,"Well screw that" is soooo 20th century. BUT, I do think that Alienware, Valve, and a lot of these companies do market to these kind of people.

That said there's always a place for prebuilt machines for people who refuse to make em themselves.
At this rate, in a few years Lego will sell DIY computer kits. I don't miss the old days.

Edit: Though honestly I don't remember it ever being quite that bad. More just massively inconvenient and time consuming. Maybe they were just testing your dedication. Like making a kid take care of a hamster before they are allowed to have a dog.

Looks like they're gonna be pushing franchises hard for the sale, unless these are not pre-made for the sale, but I doubt that:

[prays for GTA5 Steam glitch sale at $5]

Of course they make a new Star Wars bundle... and include half the games they gave during the old Star Wars Complete pack.  Such garbage for us early adopters :)
