[8GB R9 390 VRAM + 8GB Reg. RAM]

That vid card = normal price.

The extra regular RAM for free = excellent.

Anyone looking to upgrade two sections of their PC or build a new machine from scratch, this looks like a great start.

At that price - how can you go wrong w/ 8GB DDR5 VRAM + 8 GB DDR3 regular RAM?

If I was right now looking to building a new machine from scratch or needed a major upgrade (or two), I'd be all over this - even with it being a Radeon card.

I'm not in that situation, though. I already did RAM upgrade late last year IIRC; & just recently did a VRAM upgrade.

R9's tend to run wicked hot + eat up lots of watts - so make sure if anyone buys this, get a beefy PSU. The R9's did eat up 560W at 85 degrees Celsius according to Eurogamer and their rig they tested on!!!

In our Radeon R9 390X review, we shied away from overclocking owing to the extreme levels of power consumption and heat generated when you really pushed the envelope. It's a similar state of affairs here, particularly when Asus has already applied a 50MHz factory overclock. In combination with our 4.6GHz CPU OC, pushing clocks to 1150MHz with the R9 390 caused the system to hit 560W in overall power consumption (!), and we had real trouble getting any kind of stability with the card, requiring us to drop clocks in increments to see how far it could go without crashing. Temperatures were nightmarish too - if we're hitting 85 degrees Celsius with the DirectCU 3 cooler in an open air test-bed, we're going to have problems.

EDIT:

If any of you guys do buy a high-end R9 (i.e. high-end 200's or 300's) and have power-consumption issues + especially temperature problems, here's a suggestion. Always run MSI Afterburner (or any other program like that). Monitor how games run w/ their power + temp. consumption. If you have no issues of that kind w/ a game, leave it. If you have issues w/ a certain game, change things for that game - i.e. limit your degrees Celsius for GPU, if need be.

Your card won't run at full blast (i.e. you'll be under-clocking it, in a sense - limit the degrees Celsius, you'll also in turn automatically limit how much power your GPU uses). But w/ 8GB VRAM + 512-bit bus, I'd say you'd probably still run most games superb at most resolutions even w/ the Celsius limit. That huge 8GB VRAM buffer + 512-bit bus should still do wonders period.

I'd just have two profiles (at least) on MSI Afterburner. If everything's fine, no limits - where GPU power is 100% max (that's the default profile, normally). I'd set another for problematic games, eating up lots of Celsius + GPU power with a turned down Celsius limit that you'd be comfy with. When need be, switch b/t the profiles.

Remember the dude who is a married man in a stable relationship (hint: click his profile link and blog link) but had 'a friend' interested in how dirrrty [customspoiler="Tittie Bounce"][/customspoiler] could get?

He seems to have forgotten the friend pretense in subsequent posts.

I am not complaining and I hope things will get better for others but I have spent the last hour trying my end off to log in to buy the game from there instead of here due to the censorship block here. However, the login for a new user is a complete hassle and it should use some help.

I think after two hours, I finally got in from receving the right email but due to raising a child who starting to cry, I ...get this... lost the password that I set up with and resetting your password does not work to get in.

While I could pretty much bet on getting a reply back from the company tomorrow or on Monday now that it is Saturday around 12am now and my toddler is now asleep...to be honest
the "Juice wasn't worth the squeeze"
to be honest with you and I will just play a censored game to be blunt about this mess.

Sure, Steam could be better in just allowing the game to be uncut as well as those out there like Mangagamer.com could just have made the hassle in logging in honestly done at least "okay" quality but at this time. I will just play the game here in the future as I just wanted to buy it early instead of doing what I said earlier by waiting so I just truly wish the "uncensored" patch would be open sooner rather than later.

It won't kill my game, like I said earlier that it will just change a "4" out of "5" game to a "3.5" now but to the life of me...I do not understand at all why Steam flat out won't let a CLEAN adult customer just enjoy the very product that they wish to use without nuitering it. Or at the least what is wrong about STATING where an uncensored patch could be at is all for those few kids out there who shouldn't be probably playing a game like this in the first place.

That card is $339 for one but $336 each when you buy five or more.  Let's get a group buy going!

I don't think that the memory would work on my old board but it's still better than the Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge that

came with my 290X

Torn between Watchdogs or Assassin's Creed Unity, they're both $8 and they are both Ubisoft open-world collectathons.

Nooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh well, at least it made me take a closer look at those 390 cards. That price is kind of hard to pass up.

That pleb could just buy straight from Mangagamer and get a Steam key and get to play an adult game and sell the Steam key to some "rowdy" teenagers who want the game so they can give a 5 word review that will get thumbed up for being funny, "I came.....in the sand." It is funny though. Someday we wont be having these discussions as Steam will have adult games on their game service. That day will be good and you will see my 5 word review, "I came....because of titties!?!?!?!!!!!" That is all.

In another thread the Tittie Bounce dev claimed that in his talks with Valve they want to allow adult content but they told him they just don't have the infrastructure in place to handle all the differing laws in various countries but that it's something they are working on and will have done in the future right about the time Half Life 3 releases probably.

Good prices, but I really don't feel like #Motokiing all the way to a city thirty miles north just to see if they have anything.

Also, in regards to Hunie Screen Capture's art style, sorry, but their excuse won't fly. They have no idea how much backlash they're going to get because of it. I suspect it won't be nearly as much of a hit and they'll change the artwork to be more like the original game sooner or later.

Amazon might PM those BB prices. They're a little better about doing that with boxed retail though sometimes it takes a while. They did PM that $6 Watch Dogs BB ran a while back.

Just to nudge them along I'll submit 'tell us about a lower price' on those.

Which bundles included Hero Siege? A friend sent me the link and it looks pretty fun. I'm kinda sad I missed out on it. Hopefully I can find a copy or two for sale in the trade forums.

*edit*

CAG people are awesome people.

That Hunie art is terrible. I'm not going to rage over it because that's just silly (not accusing anyone here of it either) but, yeah, it's pretty awful. It also sort of blows the tie-in to Huniepop when the characters only vaguely resemble one another.

Wait, you seriously went looking for Walmart clearance shit? Bro. Walmart is so YMMV it's not even worth TRYING to duplicate someone else's clearance deal. This is bush league CAG stuff. Come the fuck on.

For console people. Don't forget us PC people have moved on from physical and brick and mortar for like a decade so when the once in a blue moon store deal comes up because it's a European published game and they don't know any better then yeah we don't know about all the sister's cousin's aunt's dog sacrificing a chicken while standing on your head if you have Mega Gamer Unplugged membership to price match Walmart to K-Mart to H-mart shit.

It's not our world.

There was a time when that game really got around. It's been almost a half a year since it's been in any bundles though.

Wait, you seriously went looking for Walmart clearance shit?
I stopped at three Walmarts that were on my way anyway. I didn't seriously expect to find D:OS but thought maybe I'd find something. You know what I found, PC gamewise? A "clearance" Far Cry 4 that went from $59.99 to $50. Also a couple Big Fish style games that were in battered looking cardboard clamshells.

It did serve to remind me why I don't shop at Walmart though. So it's not as though I got nothing out of it.

I can understand if you have Walmart's out in the distance and you avoid those - but if you got one a few minutes away, why the hell not?

If you're in the area of Walmart's b/c you were out + about planning to go somewhere else no matter what - if you have the time, why the hell not look? It's in the area.

What's the worst that can happen? You find nothing.

Best that can happen = you find something.

I might not have found Divinity: OS, but I found the best price I've seen on the Turtle Beach PX22 ($38) by quite a bit.

In my observation Walmarts are like Dante's circles of hell. Some of them are 'Well it wouldn't be my first choice but I guess if I have to be here it could be worse' and some of them are way down the chain like hanging out with Brutus and Judas and Satan bad.

Seriously. It's good people watching in a feel better about yourself, even if questioning the long term viability of humanity, sort of way.

I want Cities Skylines but when Sim City went $7.50 for the whole enchilada I caved and bought it. Haven't touched it yet, natch.

One thing I did notice in my Walmart adventures was that all the Walmarts I went to seemed to have plenty of copies of Cities Skylines. Maybe one day it will get clearanced out cheap, but probably just in Tijuana and then we'll all run around looking for it but not find it.

Does Singularity redeem on Steam?
You know something, I don't know - I didn't buy that from retail.

I bought it from Steam directly, long ago.

Anyone buy Singularity PC from retail know if retail-box versions offers Steam-key?

In the meantime, let me Google search and see if I can dig and find out.

Not your world, maybe, but as someone who goes to flea markets and garage sales in search of older PC games, music CDs and movies, it's always worth a shot. I've found multiple Steam games there, or games that did not originally redeem on Steam but did later on (Prey, Unreal Tournament III, etc.) I've found tons of copies of the Total War games but they're not my thing so I rarely buy them.

I also visit dollar stores, there's games over there once in a blue moon.

As for my local Walmart, it's not as bad as the ones I visited in the Eastern US. I do go there once a month to buy some groceries, frozen food and stuff for the house (ant killing spray). Plus they sometimes have those cheapy movie multipacks in the $5 bin. :p

A lot of items going out of stock with that BB clearance.

Not that I'm actually buying anything.

Like Darkspore.

Or X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Nope, not me.

Beyong Gravity is on sale?

Gosh, I almost wanna buy it and support the poor dev who suffered aaaaallllll those returns due to Valve's super unfair return policy.

Almost.
