Same happens also with offense and offence:

-- Offence (UK) is listed in the variant section at the bottom of the offense definition.

And also defense and defence:

Defense -> http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/defense

Defence (UK variant) -> http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/defence

If I Spoder a key - I reply to their post w/ a quote mentioning what I key I took; and of course a "thank you."

I appreciate dudes being cool enough to do key-drops like that.
...Alright fine, but I have my eyes on you.

My hunt for the code-spodering lurker bastard continues.

Holy shit if there was ever a thread that would convince me to go back to sleep this is it

Flowette says:
Flowette is right. It's just a fun beat 'em up, smash 'em up type game. On the other hand, if you want to wait for $5 or 75% off or whatever there's probably no harm in it. It's not like some Bethesda RPG or Bioshock Infinite or something where there's value in playing it at launch and being part of the whole experience. Driving your car through giant flaming scrapmetal scarecrows or harpooning dudes out of their cars and dragging them across the desert will be the same experience eight months from now.

I'm so looking forward to the day when it's either $5 or 75% off. :)

Never expected it to be.

Still sounds awesome.

I'm curious if this game will have a Season Pass, get more DLC/Expansions, or what.

Dumb question:

So we moved into this new place and the Wi-Fi here sucks.  I can't seem to get a good connection.  It's multiple devices.  The cable company says it isn't them but I have zero issues when I hardwire stuff.

This is problematic for my Win10/Steam Remote playing as well as my Vita/Playstation.   Steam remote randomly disconnects and the Vita flat out tells me I don't have enough bandwidth to connect to the PS4.

My issue is.... I only get 150Mbps from the Cable company.  Hooked directly into my Modem I get somewhere between 140-160 on Speedtest.  Wi-fi right now.. I'm lucky if I get 10-15Mbps.  I've changed Channels.  I can't move the rooms as it's wired into the gaming desktop.  I got a new modem/router.

I was looking at a Powerline Adapter.  Either one with 4 Cat5 ports or 2 Cat5/Wifi Extender.  These things are rated for 200-500Mbps.  I understand there's a drop but everyone is saying that you need 200+ Mbps to run things like Netflix.

Except, I run Netflix just fine and I'm pretty sure the recommended Neflix bandwidth is 40Mbps.

What do you guys think?  Have any experience with them?

Sorry to ask on the Steam forum but it's directly related to my playing games on Steam and some of you are fairly well-read in this kind of thing.

Is the wi-fi through the cable company's modem/router? Can you use your own router?

Comcast has been bitching at me with increasing frequency to get a new modem from them. Except the new modems are combination modem/router dealies that allow other Xfinity customers to use the connection. Which Comcast claims doesn't slow you down any but, hey, if the bandwidth is available there then why aren't you letting me -- the actual paying customer -- use it?

You can get your own modem except we also have their phone service and you can't easily get a unit supporting that from a 3rd party.

I'm pretty sure you don't need 200 Mbps to run Netflix. I only get 50 Mbps and run it just fine. Perhaps you are confusing MB with Mb. 8 bits to the byte.

Edit: quick research shows Netflix in HD will use about 2400 MB per hour. That's .67 MBps, or about 5.4 Mbps.

When we were up in Maryland we used Comcast. I had my own modem and router for years. They updated to the AC modem/router up there and I never had any issues (it was AC and ran just as fast as my newest one when I tested).

Down here it's Brighthouse but the same scenario (modem/router combo). So, I tried using their modem and my router but the Wi-Fi strengths are garbage. I fluctuate from 1 bar to 3 bars and it's only 30 ft away (through 2 walls and a long hallway). I was considering buying another "newer" router but then if that doesn't work I'm out 150-200 whereas these things SEEM to use what I have already. That's why I was asking. I don't like spending frivolous money.

Anyone catch wind of this? Friend of mine linked me to it last night. I don't run beta software myself, but it's nice to see some of the antics that some greenlight devs will pull.

Unless my understanding of internet sorcery is all wrong, the issue would be in the strength of your router versus interference from the structure (and any other sources). The actual cable modem and connection to the ISP shouldn't be a factor.

Wireless signal in my house is always pretty crap to the point where just about everything is hardwired except for our tablets. I even ran an ethernet cable to the Wii for Netflix purposes.

Syntax hit the nail on the head. The modem has no effect on wifi signals from the router. What's in the walls can have a huge effect. Installed a router for a customer who had steel framing in his house. Literally could not pick up signal outside of the room the router was installed in. Funny thing is, I picked his wifi signal up 2 days later, 3 miles from his house.

You do need it to stream 3D movies, though. Apparently they won't show up on your lists if your bandwidth is too low.
Fair point, but if you have a 3D TV and 3D glasses or whatever the hell that technology requires but you don't have high-speed internet, you've made some peculiar choices in how to invest your money.

I can testify to the fact that you don't need fast internet for Netflix; I have crap AT&T DSL and Netflix works pretty well on my wireless home network.

I have that problem in my 90 years old house. I just don't know what are the material in the walls, but I know they used to build houses at that time with "singing ravine" (google translator).

Aside that, my grandmother told me that every monday, Master Juan (mason/bricklayer), came drunk, so.... he built the walls like wanted.

Probably he was so drunk he used almost all the materials for one wall, leaving others completely "naked".

To make an easy example.

There are some walls, that we need "almost" dynamite to destroy them, while others are like butter. If you hit them too hard they fall to pieces.

The router was probably still plugged in, but now sitting in a garbage can outside his back door.

Foxypie and Spoderman BFF.

Yeah, I usually prefer to do the brofisting and spoder also gets his webbing all over my mane.

I probably deserve to have someone piss in my face for this, but I can't stop thinking: I may have to get a WiiU for Mario Maker.
Spoder volunteered. He's nasty.

Did his whole house turn into a wifi beacon due to the steel framing?

And yeah, your house is most likely to blame for the poor wifi. I used to live in this old as shit house in Seattle and there must have been lead and banshees in those walls because the wifi was always poor and dropping. Now in Atlanta same equipment and newer (read cheap) construction and the wifi is just fine. You also don't need much for Netflix, gaming, etc. I'm lucky to get 25 to 50Mmbsghsyhsjhjsp or whatever and I'm able to pewdiepie up game nights just fine with the wife watching on demand over the internets.

You also dont need super fast internet(depending on your definition) even for netflix's 4K offerings let alone 3d. Their 4K bitrate tops out at around 15mbps

Naw, I had to stop by that house a few times. Everything stayed where it was. Something about the configuration of the framing in his home was redirecting his signal outside the home.

You don't necessarily need a big, fancy, expensive TV for 3D. I have a 3D monitor, which came with the glasses that I use for PC gaming in 3D and watching 3D blus and Netflix via my PS3. Only paid a couple hundred for it.

I do agree with you, though, as I for one could never give up my high-speed internet. However, some people just don't have a choice regardless of money. My girlfriend, for example, lives out in the sticks. They don't even have cable out where she lives because the cable company thinks there's not enough people in the area to warrent installing the lines. So she's stuck on dial-up. She'd love to have something faster, she just isn't able to.

Pretty much. Poor sap couldn't get wifi inside his own home, but could have provided for half the town if he had wanted.
