This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

It might've been posted already, but it can't hurt to repeat it. Gamersgate currently has a bunch of Ubisoft games on sale for 75% off. Most of it is either Tages or Uplay, but a fair amount is Steamworks. It's worth mentioning because most of the Ubisoft catalog hardly ever goes on sale for more than 50% off on steam. In fact, many of these games haven't seen 75% off in any store in at least 18 months.

If you go to the top of the page that I linked to, you can choose to filter only the steamworks games. Though for some reason, it misses some games. I noticed Babel Rising and some DLC were missed.

For what it's worth, I just picked up the following (with spoder's help, since I've been banned)

Hmm alien isolation makes the humble monthly tempting. I  fuck ing hate this monthly crap. Pay us 12 bucks and have no idea what you're getting. Wouldn't be surprised if I bought and wound up with alien isolation and five games I already own or have no interest in.

The 200 sales per year counter has reset for people who don't trust Gabe with our SS number.

Time to dig out the dimes in my bad of nickles.

Though I idled bundle cards like a champ all year, I got no foils all year until yesterday. Now I got 2 holiday foils.

Huh, that's mildly tempting for me to go in on it. Been interested in Alien Isolation, and even if absolutely nothing else in the bundle is anything I want, that's what Alien's going for on Steam anyway.

Then I come to my senses and realize that I still haven't bought it on Steam anyway. And going on what's been in the other bundles, that'll probably be the highlight with regular bundle fodder padding it out.

Also that says February's bundle. Wouldn't that mean buying the bundle in January, not buying it in these last few hours? Or are the monthly bundle names that fucked up?

Ubisoft games used to be 75% off regularly, but for the last two sales, they've stuck to 50% off on almost everything.

Also, prices are better on most of these if you take a trip through Russia... but I don't want to get banned again. :whistle2:(

Well, you know Payday 2 + 3 DLC is going to be in it too, if that makes a difference one way or another.

If that's the case then I guess Alien Isolation will be the feb bonus, based on that pic, which means the best bet for people interested in it is to buy the feb bundle so they get alien and six shots at other games as opposed to five

Meh, that's what I mean... he was talking about buying it, not maintaining a subscription.

For what it's worth, Payday 2 + 3 DLC is one of the reasons I really am not considering the bundle.

I'm going to wait and sign up again for the February Monthly bundle, you get Alien Isolation and the whole February bundle that way.

If you sign up for the January bundle you'll get Payday 2 as the extra game, which you probably have.

EDIT: Dagnabbit, should have read on and saw you say the exact same thing

I just moraned it. I don't have Payday, have no intention of playing it and fucking hate clowns but eh, it's a +1. Better the devil I know that I don't already own.

I actually just read it and wondered if you meant 2 or 4. But then I realized, that since I've never played more than about 3 hours of any Final Fantasy game, I wouldnt know the difference anyway, so I should let someone else play that out.

I did watch the whole Final Fantasy; Spirits Within movie though.

The way they have this monthly set up it makes more sense to create a new humble account every month rather than actually keeping the sub.

I've played (actually played, not idled) most of my winter sale purchases.

Guild of Dungeoneering - Darkest Dungeon lite. Started brightly but I got very frustrated very quickly when I played last night.

Hand of Fate - slick collectible card take on the FTLroguelike subgenre. I like this a lot. Only stopped playing as there's other stuff to play too.

Undertale - this didn't grab me early on. I need to go back to it and see what the fuss is about. My 30(?) minutes with it didn't grab me at all.

The Masterplan - cross Payday with RTS and you have The Masterplan. Really, really liked this despite nearly talking myself out of it. At 75% off I think it's a steal (pun intended) but it also smells like a likely Humble Monthly/Premium Tier candidate. If you're going to play now, I'd buy now. This is a little gem.

Need to spend more time with Satellite Reign and Convoy before long but overall I'm happy with my brief 10-minute first impressions.
