Should I be confused by this post?

Edit - maybe I should clarify. Why would DRM be related to refund rates? Do more games with or without DRM get refunds?
There were some devs that use DRM that showed the refund rates didn't change so the DRM-free game devs stated they might have to implement Steamworks to at least lock their games to an account.

Edit: But of course the difference could simply be game quality or not having cards. That's why it's a test.

If i ever paid for a paradox game outside of a bundle i would never forgive myself and have an experimental surgery done where i graft a third arm onto my back so i could give myself lashings on a daily basis
And I'm over here thinking about whether to fakeybro some new DLC for a paradox game that will probably run me $15-20. Got 400+ hours in the base game so I'll probably do it, no regrats.

Thank you Air Guardians.

I asked steam to cross reference my account with my gog account and for them to purchase for me with my steam bux any game I don't own on Steam that is also on GoG, the caveat being that the GoG version has to come with a soundtrack and the steam version can't have one. I then asked GoG to delete any game I own with them that includes a soundtrack that is also on Steam.

they both asked why and I told them that I like human vagina.

GOG is gonna need to add more games if they want me to continue caring about them. I've pretty much bought everything from them that I care to own. There's nothing left to buy. Besides indie bundle fodder, that is. And even I'm not crazy enough to buy that crap over there.
I'm a big fan of GOG's wonderful DRM-FREE policy + that often extra goodies come w/ their versions (digital soundtracks, art books, etc). That's the big seller there, to me - the DRM-FREE policy.

But, as much as I like GOG and their policy - I don't seem to buy a hell of a lot from them.

Steam-versions are often much cheaper, much sooner - whether it's on Steam, on a Bundle Site, or whatever. By the time I am interested in a GOG version, I might already have it on Steam - and I might not care by then to want it on GOG.

If I want a GOG-version, it's likely going to be b/c Non-GOG version's have some annoying DRM and I don't want to deal w/ it - i.e. Two World series of games + Riddick: Dark Athena.

I'd probably do backflips if GOG ever got a DRM-FREE version of say Test Drive Unlimited 2.

GOG Galaxy lacks features and currently as a client program flat-out sucks. It needs serious work + overhauling. When UPLAY and ORIGIN are both better than GOG Galaxy Client, there's a major bloody problem here.

kickstarter is like the anticag...if you ever calculate the average donation it's always fairly high. this is nuts though, 86 dollar average donation. im sure donating that for a uwe boll film will be worth it

You're not really a glass half-full kinda guy, are you...
Given how Steam has been much weaker w/ their last few disappointing major seasonal sales, why should this upcoming Steam-sale make me feel "glass half-full"?

EDIT:

I remember back when Steam sales + Amazon DVG sales were often fantastic, keeping me buying games all the time - some few years back.

Now, seems like we're often left waiting for glitch-sales to get a worthwhile sale & we'll just plus-1 God knows what kind of quality game in some kind of crummy Bundle.

no even college hipster pretentious film students make My dog leaves behind better movies than uwe boll
Fixed

On a separate note, does anyone know how Steam refund is going to work for games with 3rd party DRM like uplay or Origin? I can imagine cheap ass jerks buying EA games and registering the game on their Origin account via the key and requesting a Steam refund.

When I'm reduced to buying physical U-play only copies of games you know the digital sales are dead.

Whatever, I would totally buy and marathon an Uwe Boll filmography Bluray set.

The giggles! Won't somebody think of the giggles??
the people that hate uwe boll like movies like movies like The Crying Game and Avatar. Uwe Boll makes bad movies and if you watch them thinking you are getting anything more than that you're a moran. Go in to them knowing how awesomely bad they will be and you will come away pleased.

I thought that way once about Uwe Boll movies, but then I watched In The Name of the King and realized that he actually tries for his movies to be good. All this time, I thought he made awful movies like BloodRayne on purpose, and I was deceived. I threw him in the garbage director pile with M. Night Shyamalan.

He tried to make Postal bad, in a good way, and just made it bad in a bad way. He was going for Toxic Avenger IV and ended up creating Toxic Avenger II. It's not even in the same league.

i thought bloodrayne was just softcore porn

So,

I just booted Clicker Heroes.. it gives me a monster... and that's about it...

Is the point just to click?  I have to admit, I don't think I "get" this game.... let alone how people say they put in more time in that game than Elder Scrolls, Arkhams and FO's....

Comes with six movies, a revolver, and one bullet. You're allowed to pull the trigger once after every movie. The unlucky ones have to sit through all six movies.

So,

I just smoked crack...it made me feel weird...and that's about it...

Is the point just to get high? I have to admit, I don't think I "get" this drug...let alone how people say they put in more time with that drug than hanging out with friends, pursuing interests and hobbies....

basically keep playing that soulless husk of a game and see what happens

Nah. You don't click unless you have an autoclicker. Otherwise you build an "idle" build, designed to speed up your ability to proceed in the game without playing it.

I've gotta be honest, Uwe's own dying words in the Postal movie made me laugh. And I certainly feel manipulated that he mentions there are KS campaign pimps out there. Given how lousy games media is I wouldn't be surprised at all if we have been subject to one or two of these hucksters ourselves.

I never played Postal 3 and never will but I would have saved his dumb ass even if he did make awful Bloodrayne movies in a franchise that should have been awesome. He didn't do anything worse to that franchise than Wayforward did with the aptly named Bloodrayne Betrayal.

The guy is just the worst director of all time. He even made The House of the Dead bad, and I still don't know how. The video games (1-3) are intentionally horrible with bad voice acting and nonsense plots. How do you fuck up something like that when all of your other movies are shit?
