Invisible Inc.

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition

Battletech

On my wife's

4 pack Rise of Nations so her, my brother, dad, and I could play (was going to get this regardless)

The Chrono.gg coin shop shuts down today.
It sucks. I was one more deal away from an epic chest.

It will be interesting to see what they do next in an effort to get people to show up... I know it worked for me but I also know myself well enough to realize I'll break that habit soon without the coin gimmick.

Ahhh... the good ol' days.

I played 3079 Block Action RPG from my backlog. Honestly this game looked nice enough with its voxels. I never really got a good explanation of what to do and the controls were finicky.  It's procedurally generated I believe and I just looked for something to do so I offed some block people and shot at some monsters. Not my type of game and was bored after 30ish minutes of fumbling around. Music was nonexistent too if I remember correctly. The guns sounded OK. Ended up throwing the rest of the developers games out of my backlog. 5/10

I also played Duke It Out In DC from Duke Nukem Megaton Edition. Played well, was fun and the levels were decently designed. Always will have a place in my heart for Duke Nukem 3D. Went through about 3 levels so far. Sad that the newer version of Duke Nukem 3D is missing the 3 add ons. Luckily I have this old version. Still an 8/10 game in my books.

Also stopped playing Chrome. Even with all the patches and such I still died extremely quick. After failing the first mission like 8 times or more I just said it wasn't for me. That and its sequel are out of my backlog for good.

Likely going to play Nekopara next.

Somehow, I have 3089 backlogged and in my Steam Library. Have you played that?

DN3D Talk.

I really liked the new Episode in World Tour 20th Anniversary. It's well done for the mos part, except for the final boss not being that special or anything.

But, yeah - Megaton has a lot more content w/ a bunch of expansions; most of the 3rd party Non-3DR ones. Hopefully, most people already have Megaton; and then will pick-up 20th World Tour for the Extra Episode from Levelord and some ex-3DR guys at some point in time.

Curious: are there difficulty modes? Did you try on the lowest difficulty?

Yeah, I still have these backlogged.

I usually play games at a medium difficulty. I should have tried easy, but honestly I was kind of just bored a bit already. One part of the first mission just has guys who at least the way it was running here killing me in about 5 seconds.

With games - yeah, I often start at default.

And if need be, depending on how it feels to me and all, I'll adjust it.

If it's fine as is - of course, I'll just leave it.

Nah I didn't try 3089. I also had 4089 in my backlog. Just wasn't interested since they all looked similar. I'm sure the later iterations may have more of a purpose to it all.

Edit: I'll try 3089 though for curiosity sake.

Used my five gabenbucks coupon on Jedi Fallen Order and that Playism Summer Bundle.  Probably end up grabbing Halo too.  Tempted by Doom Eternal.  I played through Doom on a console but might play it again on PC before I get around to Eternal so not sure on that one.  Assuming they do not show up in the Humble Choice, I am definitely picking up Hidden Through Time and a few other cheaper games but probably no other "big" purchases outside of what I mentioned above unless I have a night of insomnia, then all bets are off as that is usually when I binge.  :whee:

A few nights ago I was awake and not sleepy so I decided to see if I could find anything to watch on Twitch and Slowbeef was playing 3D Worldrunner, a bullshit NES game I had totally blocked out of my memory.   Imagine Space Harrier and a brick hitting you in the face had a baby and you have this game.  So ever since then it has been digging at the back of my brain so my day so far today has been getting a broken tooth fixed and torturing myself with an ancient NES game that infuriated me even as a kid just to beat it and tell the memory of it to go  fuck itself.  So yeah, games I have been playing while I ignore my backlog: Terraria yet again and 3D freaking Worldrunner.  Ugh.

edit:  Grabbed Atari Vault, thanks!

Got Remothered. Thanks!

There's nothing I feel like I really need and of course none of the prices are that great, but I tried to come up with some stuff to hit $30. The best I can do so far is $21.84

https://store.steampowered.com/app/993790/Ancient_Enemy/ complete a bundle for 8.43

https://store.steampowered.com/app/235800/Audiosurf_2/ 3.74

https://store.steampowered.com/app/861540/Dicey_Dungeons/ 7.49

https://store.steampowered.com/app/644560/Mirror/ .79

https://store.steampowered.com/app/773670/Delete/ 1.39

Maybe something in the Humble Choice will sway me one way or another but doubtful.

I've beaten Dicey Dungeons quite a few times. I like it enough, but feel it's a bit shallow as well. It's still fun, rng heavy, and has great graphics. Just a light fun rogue lite game. Probably about a 7/10 for me.

Some Drops:

Supraland

FVD9R-QGXGJ-NCR5M

The King's Bird

BNPGR-ITR0Z-V3QLH

Overload

EAX88-MF56M-BV703

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 Warchest Edition

E82CL-0AVXR-WNXJF

Yeah, it seems like totally my type of game, but I figured it's a bit shallow. I think I heard there's some mods that add a lot of content though.

Since it was asked, here's my $30 cart:

$7.80 Bloody Spell
$5.00 Juicy Realm
$4.00 In Celebration of Violence
$7.50 Rogue Star Rescue
$3.80 Obliteracers
$6.00 Under Night DLC CL-R added character

Have also picked up:
$1.00 Treasure Adventure World
$12.00 Hardcore Mecha
$6.50 Super Pilot (terrible name for an F-Zero racer)
And still thinking about Black Future '88 and Fury Unleashed, but mainly just because it's my birthday.  I'd normally let those and Hardcore Mecha get cheaper before buying, but I try to be a little less cheap this time of year. (Edit: got Fury Unleashed, put off Black Future)

My partner hasn't finalized her cart yet, but this seems the likely selection:

$13.50 Noita
$3.50 Demon's Rise - Conquest of the Deep
$3.75 Tangledeep DLC
$12.00 Prey Deluxe
With maybe Juicy Realm and In Celebration of Violence getting thrown in too if they seem worth that (I take point on trying roguelites, and she sometimes re-buys for co-op or her own library instead of playing through family sharing).

think i decided im gonna wait til friday to see what's in the bundle then just splurge on something, there aren't any good deals really so i'll just buy something i wanna play now. all i've bought so far was macbat 64 which was like 75 cents lol

I played a bit of 3089 - Futuristic Action RPG and it's an improvement over it's predecessor as I found where quests where handled but it still was pretty bad. The graphics were similar and the shooting was super imprecise and weird. There is some depth here, but it just feels clunky. This one seems playable and has a story I guess. Honestly still not recommended. 5.5/10

Fanatical has a Warhammer book bundle going. It has 3 tiers with 26 books in all. It does have 5 repeats of the Multilanguage Tales Warhammer Humble Bundle and 9 repeats from the Horus Heresy Humble Bundle (2 of those are the same repeats). For those that own the Humble Horus Heresy bundle this includes 3 more books (5, 8-9) in the top tier. This seems a lot cleaner for laying out and maybe has better choices. I don't think there are any repeats from the Series Starters bundle also from Humble Bundle.

$1 tier (6 total products), $10 Tier (13 total products), $17.50 tier (26 total products).

Cyberpunk 2077 on PC supports ONLY DirectX12 for the game's API for W7 S1 and W10 only:

https://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&boardid=1&threadid=212631

info:

- CP 2077 supports only DirectX12 for its API on the PC.

- Windows 7 recently received an update to support DX12.

- Windows 8.1 is unfortunately left out, as it doesn't support DX12 at all.

- Only W7 SP1 and W10 will be supported here for Cyberpunk 2077.

Are you telling me the most highly anticipated game of 2020 doesn't even support Windows 98? smh my head, Mr. Gates is so greedy. At least I've still got my PS2; Sony would never let me down.

LOL.

You know, I'm actually surprised CP 2077 is supporting W7, to be honest here; even now w/ the DX12 support now there in a recent update!

CP 2077 only supports W7 now b/c an update brought DX12 to W7, but W8/W8.1 is not getting DX12 libraries.

I'd figure - most that had W8 or W8.1, even rolled back to W7 or just jumped up to W10. First thing I did when I bought my Acer W8 laptop - took that Free W10 upgrade and jumped it up.

I do not like W8 that, TBH. I don't know why most people kept W8 or W8.1, if they actually did. W8 felt like it Beta for W10, TBH.

I figure most people use either W7 or W10 these days, which is probably why Microsoft didn't put DX12 on W8, yet they did bring DX12 over to W7.

Also doesn't sound like CP 2077 is supporting Vulkan here at all.

I'm not sure what to think of dx11 only... I don't always play the newest games but it seems like every game I try to play in dx12 seems to have stability issues compared to dx11.

FTFY.

Yes, I normally only run DX11 mode also, if given the option b/t DX12 and DX11. When I ran Metro Exodus, I got better performance in DX11.

I hope they (CDPR) can get it going well in DX12, since it's pretty much...the only choice we have.

Looks like no DX11 and no Vulkan support here.

fuck Epic for that dumb shit.  Don't advertise a game as free for a week and then change your mind.  It won't sell now.  I assume it'll eventually be free down the line.

Oh mighty Chinese overlords, please forgive RCLAFO for this momentary transgression. He was really looking to this survival/crafting/open world/building/[insert generic game element descriptor here] experience with penises and is just upset about the decision, in light of your infinite wisdom, to remove it at the last minute. PLEASE don't sacrifice him so the mighty Pooh bear might be appeased as we're sorta fond of him on these boards. Xièxiè, Xièxiè

I just remembered I won Conan off Steamgifts. I suppose with ARK already given away, the quota for multiplayer survival games was filled.
