You know it's not their business what I do with a key that I own. If I buy their game when it goes on sale and then resell it later they can't prevent that. All this fussing and trying to micromanage what people do with their keys is much ado about nothing. People can buy cheap keys from Russia for pretty much every indie game anyway. If someone wants to use a grey method to pinch a penny they will do it.

Anyhow, it's not even like release day on Steam means anything anymore for most indie games. They switched the default tab over to best sellers and there's just so much competition it's hard to get noticed. Day 1 on Steam isn't the golden ticket it used to be.

All this fussing and watch he'll put the damned thing in a bundle soon because the Steam sales are not what he expected and he'll feel compelled to try to make that up. Meanwhile he's damaging his reputation with all this crazy censorship and he doesn't even get it.

When KISS first started putting games on Steam they expressed concern about people re-selling keys but you know what they did? They had a dialogue about it and everyone was really civil and appreciative of having their voice heard even if they didn't agree with everything. Nothing got deleted, no one got banned. Both sides were heard and everyone ultimately ended up happy with no hard feelings.

They put their games in these bundles to get Greenlit then they don't want to give you the keys because bawwwww that's two or three less sales.  No one is forcing them to be in a bundle.

Yeah there's that too. They've given keys for bundles and promotions they technically weren't a part of. They didn't want to at first, but they came around after talking with the community and didn't even have to go through an angry shitstorm to get there because they actually listened to people and responded instead of reacting and censoring.

Alpha Kimori did that to me when I wrote and asked for a key for having previously bought it on Big Fish. Then they went and put a shit ton of Steam keys for it in a cheap ass indie bundle.

 
And I just accidentally deleted my entire Steam backup folder before I had a chance to burn everything to DVD

The worst part is Bioshock Infinite's backup RAR file, it's all intact except for the first archive, which means it can't be recovered properly agh

Edit: To clarify, I was able to recover most of the RAR sets, but only one of my pre-built ISOs could be recovered.

I managed to recover most of the recently created files, and I found the first Bioshock Infinite RAR file thanks to another tool... but I lost all my recent Star Wars downloads and Hitman Absolution. >_<

Bleh. At least I salvaged the bigger downloads... I can grab the Star Wars games later.

I want this, but I own the game already. Any time I saw the AC4 CE box in stores it was all beat up, but I guess the "limited edition box" isn't that important. Dat statue.

It's in stock at 2 locations near me... This was my GOTY for 2013. :whistle2:k
