Project Zomboid was slowed by the community constantly whining about putting mp in the game. The devs gave in and now focus on that instead of fleshing out the game itself.

Right now here's the list of games I want.

Now for Ultra SF4 I have until the 28th to wait for a daily deal because that's when my 25% off from GMG coupon expires

However, all of those other games are 5 dollars or less for the whole sale will they ever even go lower?

I really enjoyed Thomas Was Alone, though. Played through it a year ago. Totally worth the money.

Kind of liked the Depinia PC is an ass, only in the first game though. It's not at a level of soo bad, just kind of a lazy, mooching loser who thinks too highly of himself (in a way that is humorous imo).

Is the Deponia trilogy on a good sale or something? Need the other two and finally played enough to figure I'll play the other two.


If I didn't delete already, I'd go for the penny Pinball Arcade tables. The tables prices were too high for me considering I didn't play much pinball growing up. It was usually something in the bar or pizza place and played like a game or two. Thus FX2 filled my PC pinball want with cheaper tables (during sales).

Always wait for a potential flash/daily sale. Street Fighter will get one for sure, maybe PacMan. If they don't get one by the last day, buy it then if you still need it.. DO NOT wait for the "encore" day.

 
Wow, purchasing Injustice: Gods Among Us was a mistake... at least that's how it feels like from the tutorial. The combo system feels weird and the window for recovery and other stuff just doesn't feel right.

That might be the 20-odd years of Capcom / SNK fighting game experience talking though.

(Edit: For the record, I also disliked SF4's button combos - Injustice's feel easier to pull off.)

It feels really slow. You have a bunch of time to input combos (they are really easy) compared to Capcom games I'm used to. Has a newer Mortal Kombat feel to it that I did not enjoy.

I don't know what you would consider good.. but 66% off for both 2 and 3. Might show up in a flash sale later for cheaper but 14 bucks for 3 games seems like a good deal for ME. I just... well if I get pissed at the PC right off the bat, I'll never make it through to the other 2 games.

I liked Injustice. But I spent more time doing the challenges than the actual game. The game story I beat in ~6-8 hrs.

People can never have nice things. Last time I played, albeit this was still on Desura, the single player portion was far from complete. Don't know why they would switch over to MP, especially for a game like this.

I like the wackiness of the Pinball FX2 tables, but I did grow up playing a lot of real pinball tables and I have a huge soft spot for those that Pinball Arcade has recreated. I do hate their pricing structure, but if they coughed up an Addam's Family remake I'd probably have to give them my money.

... for now they can have my penny!

As a CAG - I think most sales are let downs, these days.

I buy too many games to backlog + maybe play as is, so that when I killer deal comes up - I possibly already have it.

Or if there's something that I really want - it ain't cheap enough to suit me for me to even jump on it.

Especially even more so true, if it's a newer release.

Or...say a game has what I feel like is too much DLC - I'll wait for re-released Complete Edition to come out and drop in price.

I just get what I want and need - and whatever happens, I guess happens.

Yeah, they've always had a Farsight leaderboard which you can sync up across devices, but it's just not feasible to expect all your friends to sign up for that. I'll check it again though to see if they finally came to their senses and added a Steam leaderboard.

It seems like most people enjoy Pinball FX2 more, and I can understand why. Zen Studio's table designs have gotten consistently better and you can just do more theatrically and gameplay wise that a real table obviously could never do.

That being said, I view Pinball Arcade as an amazing tutorial for the real machine. I grew up with pinball machines as well, and half the time you never really knew what to shoot for besides "hey, this things flashing, let's shoot that". The tutorials in PA will tell you everything you need to know to get to the Wizard mode of the machines, and you can put that knowledge to use if you can still find the machines in the real world. Unfortunately, they're pretty hard to find anymore, but I got to play quite a few at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas.

As a side note, I feel really bad for new gamers. They'll never have the feeling of going to an arcade as we knew it. Playing pinball, quarter machines, putting money on a MvC machine to indicate you're next up, etc.

The only other thing I was looking for this sale was a good sandbox game. There's a dino one that looks interesting "Beasts of Prey" but it breaks my no early access rule. I'm just tired of Terraria and Starbound and would like something realistic that isn't zombies. I saw Rust too. But I'm antiPvP.

Then I still give him the benefit of the doubt and ask him how he is paying for the game, Paypal Gift or Regular and his response:

I was in the market for one too, but there are so many I just decided to wait until they start getting completed and hit 75% off or a bundle. I figure by then I can have them all for the same price or less than I would have paid for 1.

I had it whittled down to stuff like:

Planet Explorers (Motoki says it is good)

Beasts of Prey (the one you mentioned)

The Stomping Ground (but this is PvP too)

I already got The Forest, which is survival, PvE, but Early Access and it'll fit my needs for one.

There's also the Landmark beta thing out now but I didn't really like it too much. Preferably I'd want to find just a completely realistic version of Minecraft with better graphics, but I don't think that exists.

I truly get enjoyment out of watching all the people who are on red and purple cry about the teams being fixed now that green is winning decidedly. It was perfectly fair yesterday, when all the top crafters/badge makers defected to purple or red to increase their odds, but now that they're losing the fix has to be in? Lmao.

I hate people like this, they make a bad name for the other random people you might not know yet but are actually cool and worth adding (of which I've met a lot on Steam). More often than not though random friend invites are just beggars and it's not worth the hassle of adding them only to be harassed for free crap.

As a fighting game non-expert, I'm really enjoying Injustice. I enjoy fighting games, be it Street Fighters, King of Fighters, Last Blade, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, whatever. I've just never been the kind of person to spend hours and hours on any single one in order to become an expert on a character or game. I just play them casually because they're fun.

If you're a Campcom/SNK purist, yeah, Injustice is going to feel odd, and it's more akin to Mortal Kombat than any Street Fighter. However, I am absolutely loving the story mode. It's a cool story that let's you try out a lot of different characters, and the special moves are pretty fun. I find pulling up the pause menu move list really quickly at the beginning of a battle gives me enough to play around. I set it to easy (remember, I'm just in it for fun and the story) and kick some ass as some superheroes.

This is true. They're are cool random people out there.

One time, some guy randomly added me and then immediately bought me a game cuz he thought I was the hot check in my avatar.

It's not creepy, it's very cool.

Like the one time some guy added me after a Dota match and then hit on me, gave me his number, and then proceeded to set us up on date without me saying a single word.

Really cool of him.

Me and Earthbound tested that once.  We were undercutting each other selling cards so then I changed my name to a chick's name to see if people would buy from me instead of him.  He did the same.  So then I got a hot chick avatar.  Then he did.  You get the idea.  It all came to an end when my little brother PMed me asking me if there was something I wanted to tell him.

I can trust in something Motoki reviews.

I don't know about Beasts, it looks interesting so I'm hemming about it. Something about shooting a Dino brings memories of like Turok back.

I looked at Planet Explorers but it seems too cartoony. Kinda like Spore.

I'm in Landmark.. it's just... nothing to do besides mine and build. Lackluster at the moment.

He has several games with lots of achievements - 226 of 506 in TF2, 82 of 190 in Payday 2... and so on. His achievements seem legit.

I'm far from being a fighting game expert, and I'm not exactly a purist either. I'm just used to a certain kind of gameplay, and Injustice plays very differently, so I'm going to complain. I like simplistic engines - it's just that Injustice feels way too simple. (I know it's not. It just feels that way.)

I'm in no way saying it sucks - it just felt like I won't enjoy it as much as I'd like to.

I am digging the story, though. It's much better than the crap DC puts out these days...
