I bought the DLC from the last sale for Fallen Enchantress and I believe I got most of them for 75% off except for the newest which was 50% off, which I still got since I wanted the full set. I think we'll probably see a lot more of this in the future. Sell the game cheap, hope people pay more for the DLC. Sucks for the consumer, but it's probably a better financial decision for the devs =/

I wonder what Valve's logic is in repeating flashes, dailies and community votes (sometimes simultaneously) yet letting fan favorites fall into obscurity through ignorant hive mind.  If they already have the ok from the developers for potential discounts, why don't they allow more diversity in sales without so many repeats?  I'm not trying to complain about the percentage of discounts or whatnot, since that is probably outside of their control.  I just don't get the concept of community votes that will never see the light of day if lost when so many sale slots are repeated ad nauseum.

Train sim's a bit daunting when you first start it up, but it's pretty rewarding once you take the time to learn how to operate the various trains. A niche title for sure, but the community is very supportive.

BNW is essential to me (G&K was good too but more extras that should have been in the game from the get go). Makes economy and trade a lot better and makes dealing with the city states more interesting as well. For me it turned Civ 5 from being too simple before to being a good mid range on complexity, though Civ 4+ expansions still offers a deeper experience. Just my humble opinion of course but I wouldn't like the game much without it (wasn't a fan of Civ 5 vanilla....was just too vanilla haha).

Yea, Outpost is iffy. There are a lot of sharks on there. Steamtrades is a little more loose, just be sure to get them from someone with high rep.

I thought it had already been bundled. Had to check the Steam store page to confirm (with that handy price checker app of course). I would like to snag this one but I have a heck of a hard time buying any PC game for more than a dollar or two unless I'm going to play it right away.

So far I've picked up two games during the summer sales: Super Amazing Wagon Adventure since it was $1.01 and I wasn't even collecting PC games when it was bundled the one time nearly a year ago, and Carmageddon II from GOG. I almost never buy from GOG but Carmageddon isn't on Steam and it's easily worth the $2 to me. A childhood favorite of mine that I no longer have to run a DOS emulator to play for a measly $2? Hell yes!

Bundles have ruined my ability to buy stuff even during this awesome sale. There was a game the other day that was $2 that looked Super Meat Boy-esque but I passed in the hopes of future bundling. I suspect I will do this at least a few more times during the sale.

No way that's going to beat Borderlands, Saints Row, Farcry, and Goat Simulator. It would need to include uncle gaben coming to your house with ice cream, puppies, and free copies of DayZ.

Its been a long time since ive played an Assassin's Creed game and ive heard some iffy things, but can anyone talk me into buying Assassin's Creed 3?

Im mostly just interested in the revolutionary war setting, for all that's worth.

Oh, and I'm no sure if someone else already mentioned it, but:

Valve has switched all cards (and most other items) to commodity mode.

It keeps going back and forth for me. I get commodity mode sometimes, but then I get the regular sale screen other times.
