Ihop gives you a free Fresh and Fruity Rooty Tooty (or something of equal value) on your birthday and day of signing up, I end up getting two meals in about a week apart. If you have a Grimaldi's Pizzeria, they give (or gave at least) a free pizza on your birthday if you signed up for their club thing. Arby's gives away a free small shake, if you have a Rubio's they give you basically $7 off (sign up online thing again).

Ruby Tuesday's used to give you a free burger, but the bastards changed it to some crummy offer last year.

Bunch more can find online, some of the deals are pretty meh at best but a few good ones, Benihanna's is the best of the lot though. If I recall, you can sit in the bar and get it there if you are an anti-social person (like myself).

Anyone here have experience with a 1216 x 684 resolution on their 720p tv?  What would be a good resolution to set a game at when it doesn't have the 1216 x 684 option?

Long Live the Queen is okay, but it's way too linear. You just die and start over until you figure out which way the game wants you to play it. There's a lot of ways to die but only one good ending (she doesn't get killed and then she becomes the queen). Compared to Princess Maker 2, where there are several endings depending on how you play. She can become a general or a scholar or a bandit or all sorts of things. I know the developer tries to downplay the similarities between the two games, but pfft. For $2.50, I'd give it a try, and if you do like it, try Princess Maker 2 in DOSbox. It was localised to English but never released and now you can find it at any abandonware site.

Also the Shovel Knight soundtrack and the arranged soundtrack were just released for free "pay what you want"

Also of note are the numerous AAA titles that have their sales projections over-estimated by ridiculous numbers, and when the title doesn't meet said ridiculous sales numbers (while still getting decent-to-great numbers just the same), the developer still gets shafted & has their staff shit-canned/studio shuttered.

Good, the world needs less AAA devs. May they all starve or make quality indie games, instead. Anyway, the whole piracy argument is moot. Everyone and their mother pirates these days whether it's games or movies or music or porn. Anyone who doesn't do it is either lying or over sixty. And still... everyone stays in business. AAA publishers and studios stay afloat so they can bring us more awesome five hour cinematic shooters.
