Did the Steam release of Double Dragon Neon improve at all over the console versions?  I ask because I remember reviews for it being pretty terrible.

 
I'm curious as to how it is legal for Steam to completely and utterly rig the Summer Adventure game?  The odds of that behavior under normal circumstances would have to be astronomical.  One day one team wins, all other teams within .5% of each other.  Another day, same result, different teams.  One day a team has 327,000 points, next day the same team hits 1.2 million with all other teams around 270,000.  The massive point swings, and the likelihood of all losing teams being within .5% of each other is just crazy.    Now on the last day a near 5-way tie. 

I'm fairly certain if a statistician were to run the numbers, the odds of this contest posting those daily results legitimately would have to be 1 in 1,000,000+.  

 
I need 4 games to hit 1,500, but I already own Bad Rats, Fowl Space, Secret of the Magic Crystals, AND Pid. I don't know what to do :whistle2:k

I don't think the console ones had online co-op but this one does. I tried it free from PS+, it's not bad but best is still the GBA remake and part 2 on NES. Great soundtrack though, and it's "pay what you want"

I can never accept any trades from the client, I get the "You cannot trade with that other dude" error. I have to do this in a browser.

I'll post my haul tomorrow. Maybe. I'm still pissed off at some devs that never lowered the price for their game's DLC.

 
Sold cards for the first time in forever to get a little extra Steam spending cash before the sale ends. Mother of pur the emails. I'd prefer they be grouped together like when uploading a bunch of YouTube videos and they email you that they are done processing.

Voted Zombies for folks who want State of Decay DLC but it was hard since it meant also voting for shitty Deadlight.

I take that back.  Deadlight is fine.  I was thinking of some other game.

I just added a filter to my client to direct them to a "Steam Card Sales/Gabenbux" folder. I doubt I'll ever need to consult them anyway, but I figure it's good to keep them anyway.... for.. reasons?

I found a script that I added to chrome/greasemonkey which solved my needing to constantly (daily) login to the web client. I was locking myself out a lot before that. Sorry to hear it's still going on.

You are the fourth person I know that has had that happen to them this week, some of which were ALREADY signed in and got locked out. Me thinks the "device authentication" system Steam uses is broken.

Thats strange. I went to use IE with Steam about a week ago and when I did that it sent me an email with a code doohickey to prove that its me. Do you have SteamGuard off?

That sucks though. There's a bug in the system somewhere unless SteamGuard is off for you. The worst part is that Steam Support won't do shit to change it if you contact them.

Gmail links them all together for me, even without setting up folders. If I get multiple emails with the same subject it just adds a number in the subject line to show how many there are.

My brother-in-law was complaining about the cost of video games on consoles now that he's at college and has to buy his own games, so I introduced him to Steam and told him about the sales. I gave him all the training I could on how to get games for cheap.

His haul so far this sale?

I guess he's still saving money over what he would have spent on console versions, but I still feel like a failure. Still, I should at least be happy he took my advice and didn't buy until the games were a daily deal.

I like it a lot, but I think you probably already knew that if you peeked at the steam forums at all. I'm a fan of the original Archon, and I do think that Archon Classic is the best version of it that exists. Online multiplayer would be really nice, but considering you can't get that out of any other version of Archon either, I don't really see the lack of it as a huge con. The Conquest mode adds a lot of depth to the player vs. AI gameplay, and the new modes also add a ton of fun options to the local multiplayer. Plus, the original is still there.

If you do pick it up, I highly recommend reading the tutorial pages before you start. Specifically, make sure you know how the wizard spells, three win conditions and shifting floor colors work. Then make your first game a standard "Play Archon", yourself as light modern, CPU opponent as dark modern on Normal AI, Novice difficulty. On the second screen, set first move to light and secondary abilities off. Once you figure out your units well enough to win the original game setup, you'll be ready for the fancier stuff.

 
Wow.

The community card market bounced back hard, everything was like 15 cents earlier today - now it's up to 25. People are crafting badges like crazy.

I expect this to die off tomorrow since the last game giveaway will be tomorrow morning and there won't be any point in crafting badges, but still.

All the teams are also pretty equal, everyone's got 604,000 points as of right now. Except Pink. 606. :D

People who aren't really committed to deals are lazy and just don't listen. I've tried so many times with my sister. It's like okay whatever buy it at full price then.

OTOH they tend to actually play the games they buy and buy far less than most of us do so hence they spend less overall. The lack of deal savvy drives me nuts but I'd be lying if I said part of me didn't wish I had the control to buy less and value what I did buy enough to actually feel compelled to play it.
