I paid 1.5 keys for the complete pack last week. >_>;
The Complete Journey is not the same as the separate games.

Separate games: Three different entries, +3 to Steam count, each one has separate achievements.

Complete Journey: Three games in one, only +1 to Steam count, all achievements are under one game.

Yeah, but Daedalic's not bundling the last two after they whored out the first Deponia to anybody with a quarter to spare, so Complete is probably the most <ahem> economical way to round out the trilogy.

I think they bundled Chaos once. :p

And the trilogy is no longer available at the super discounted price. They stopped that back in September.

There are plenty of people selling the trilogy for 2 keys on the official trading thread for the game. It seems like the guy I bought mine from is out of copies though.

Edit: NInja'd by warreni.

You misunderstand me, I already have the Trilogy pack. The low trade prices won't last forever, though.

Oh, it's the guy that killed the game way too early.

Meh. Dude has issues. We've known that for a while.

who's he? and what game does he develop?

Guy is an arrogant prick who came into a hundred thousand or so because of the success of his game and thought he was set for life.  Treated his customers like trash and barely worked on optimizing/finishing the game.  Hilarious that he bashes Steam because I'm sure it's brought him tons of money he wouldn't have otherwise seen.

Does this mean I have to hold back my opinion due to fear of getting my game removed?
Indeed it does, barring you having some sort of contract.

edit: Further, Gabe couldn't get away with this shit if US consumer laws were stronger, and we as consumers actually had rights to transfer our electronic goods to another service. We basically sold our souls to the devil, and the devil runs the show, like it or not.

Do you guys see anything wrong with this?

Potentially what's happened is a developer has angrily expressed his negative thoughts towards Steam and got his game removed. There's a lot of things Valve/Steam have done which I don't agree with and that doesn't include the shutting down of my 70,000+ member group. Does this mean I have to hold back my opinion due to fear of getting my game removed?

I've done work for a few indie games on Steam and I can tell you that there's been quite a few occasions where mistakes have been made on launch.

Obviously we don't know the full story but it just doesn't sit right with me. I feel like I can't even say everything I want to say in this post.
It's not the fact he melted down.

It's the fact he apparently made a death threat towards Gabe Newell. You just don't tell the CEO of a company you're in business with that you're going to kill him. Not even as a joke.

Edit: To clarify, if a dev's mental health was enough of a reason to pull a game, Fez and other games made by uh... people with explosive personalities would've been pulled ages ago.

You don't have a 'right' to have your game on Steam.  That said, criticism is one thing but threatening to kill GabeN is beyond moronic.

I'm not sure consumer laws come into play when we're talking about a guy selling his game through the platform. It's not a public service. People who bought PA still have access to it.

To the general topic -- there's really no slippery slope here. If anyone made a death threat even half-jokingly to their boss/superior/publisher/whatever they'd be fired/their business agreement would be terminated immediately. This is how the real world works.

If I was leading up Steam, I wouldn't have cared until he issued his "I am going to kill Gaben" tweet. Criticism is one thing but threats like that are not, no matter how empty they are.

Regardless, Steam CS sucks horribly. It needs to change and there needs to be more transparency when one has to actually deal with their CS. A week or two wait for a single reply only to get zero information what-so-ever is bad business. They make enough money to not be this bad and there's no excuse to justify it.

That guy is a fuck moron. You don't go into business with someone and then publicly trash and threaten to murder them and expect them to keep being partners with you. There's a difference when us as fans go out and trash a company but when someone who is working with said company there will be consequences. All he has to do is pick up the damn phone or send an email. Now he's going to miss out on all the steam sales. Hope it was worth it.

Not that all that was said anyone wanna gift me the game :whistle2:

You don't just threaten to kill Gabe New...well, I guess you've heard this already.

Judging by how he writes on Twitter and the previous messages, that was far from a serious threat and I'd find it hard to believe that Valve/Steam would have taken it seriously. It's definitely unprofessional mind and if there is nothing more to the story, I feel it's undeserved.
It doesn't matter if it was serious or not.

This situation would've happened in ANY industry. If you were a shoe manufacturer, and if a store screwed up the launch of your newest shoe, would you go around saying, IN PUBLIC, that you were going to murder the store's CEO? If you did, and he saw it, then you can say goodbye to your shoe being sold there. It's common sense. You don't say that stuff. EVER.

You wanna say it in private, sure. But he's being followed by 3542 people. That's public exposure. You have to know when to say shit in private.
