Full disclosure: I don't like furry shit. It really creeps me the fuck out.

That being said, if you're going to go furry (or scaly ) but you aren't going to be kinky what the hell's the point?

If people want PG furry they can always watch the Carebears.
I thought you loved me ;_;

I want that Sniper Zombie trilogy, but not at $18, because I won't be able to play with my friends since they are not THAT fan of the series, I barely convinced them to buy part 1 & 2 some months ago

Yes to Y's ! One of the best retro jrpg ' s . Seeing as many here believe 66% off is the new 75 % off you should just treat yourself and buy it.
Ys I & II Chronicles + remakes of the original games? The first few screenshots look familiar to TurboGrafx version but looks fancier.

Must Resist buying remastered edition of Game I have and never played. Gaaaaaaaa!!
You're doing it wrong. You must buy remastered edition of game you have never played. You want the best possible experience when you do get around to playing it, right? Because for sure, you will get around to playing it. Also, +1.

It's the games you have already played that you should resist buying the remastered version.

Are you asking? Yes, it's a remake of and old game that goes back to the Turbo and even earlier (I had Ys I on the SMS). Visuals are nicer but no voice acting though. That dub was actually quite good, especially for the time when horrid Anime dubs abounded.

Also, for those who never played it the bump combat takes some getting used to and These Kids Today™ *shakes cane* probably won't get it and will hate it.

Oh and TITS was 50% off once on Steam very briefly in December according to ITAD, probably a flash deal on the winter sale.

I didn't have a chance to respond yesterday when everyone was talking about game categories, so I'm going to now even though no one cares.  I love categorizing my games.  Its appeal to my OCD nature is one of the primary reasons I enjoy collecting/backlogging, and ever since Steam implemented multiple categories for games it's gotten a lot easier.  My system is continually evolving, but this is what I've got at the moment:

  • at least half of my games are in "permanent backlog"
  • I've separated games I theoretically want to play soon, like, in the next five years, into "AAA to play" and "ABB to play" (the second one being mostly indies)
  • everything else that I might someday be interested in or just enjoy seeing in my collection I've categorized by genre.  When I feel like browsing I generally do it in Big Picture mode, while simultaneously patting myself on the back and slowly stroking my e-peen, then I shut it down without having chosen anything to play, or maybe I go rearrange my categories some more.
Yes, it's crazy, but no crazier than some of the other browsing/buying/collecting habits around here!

I see the appeal of categorizing,

but a spreadsheet for my collection is the limit to which I'm willing to put that much effort.

One day I'll get through that coal backlog...

While browsing Gamestop's website I noticed they had a few really cheap PC CE's for sale. All were sold out online, but they all had at least one local store within 100 miles of me with them in stock. Maybe they will be at your local Gamestop? Use the in store inventory checker on the website to check.

Max Payne 3 Special Edition - $4.97

Defiance Collector's Edition - $7.99

Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition - $9.97

These may have been converted to used since there were none within 100 miles of me:

Bioshock 2 Limited Edition - $9.97

The Sims 3 Showtime: Katy Perry Collector's Edition - $9.97

Reposting this from the peasant thread in case anyone wants it. A lot of it is old and probably out of stock. I know Fox and I grabbed some of the last Defiance ones from the greater Seattle area a long ass time ago. :p I can't imagine there are any BL2 ones anywhere and the Katy Perry is a 'digital collector's edition' (oh EA)

Anyhow, I did see a couple of stores with the Max Payne one sort of in my general vicinity. If anyone wants a [customspoiler=Max Payne Statue]
cqMNM0w.jpg
[/customspoiler] and can find one near you, you might as well grab it because you know the console people will just eBay it.

Tin Foil.

There's only a few bundle fodder games that even have VAC enabled and those are kind of obvious like Killing Floor and Dungeon Defenders. Even then there's no evidence VAC even checks for SAM which is an achievement cheating tool, not something to give an unfair advantage in a multiplayer against other users.
Only reason I'd be concerned would be games like TF2 where achievements can unlock new weapons. Technically you could "cheat" by giving yourself the appropriate achievement for the unlock.

But, people using SAM for card idling weren't playing with the achievements anyway so I don't know if Valve could even detect it without you flipping achievements on or off.

Yeah, this is pretty old stuff. I grabbed a Defiance CE 5-6 months ago at a store a couple of miles down the road. Bioshock 2 hasn't been anywhere around me for PC or PS3 in a dog's age. There is still a Max Payne about 60 miles away from me, but I'm just not interested in driving that far for it. I already own the base game and the rest of the crap that comes with it just looks like crap.

Even though I didn't think much of the Borderlands games, I'd grab one of those CEs for $10 because it has some handsome swag.

Not sure if posted yet, but someone tag MysterD on this:

http://slickdeals.net/f/7579856-7-free-pc-games-from-3d-realms

The game are DRM-FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think you guys have the wrong impression of MysterD. By sheer coincidence, I was looking up to see if Test Drive Unlimited 1 had ever been on Steam and found this .

Oh, I'd love to see TDU1 on Steam. If it does come to Steam - plz only let it use Steam DRM.
He's clearly in favour of Steam DRM, and only Steam DRM. I bet he works for Valve.

 Are you just running through every zip code in the country or something?
I used to live there so I have a habit of checking every zip I lived in. lol. And then dreaming of what if I still lived there I could be playing with a Borderlands 2 collector's edition barbie doll right now.

Oh, I hated the bump combat back in 1997. But Chronicles' bump combat is a lot easier than what it was in the SMS.

That final boss fight though, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

Every time we get a crappy Star Wars sale like this, it makes me glad I bought the pack when it was 66% off (when Disney got stupid about the pricing).

Unfortunately the Star Wars Pinball tables are not included in this sale. :(

Well I've got a Max Payne special edition with the statue for 5 dolla' confirmed on hold at GS. :p

While browsing around I didn't see much else cheap PC CE wise but I did see some local stock (YMMV of course) for the Bioshock Infinite Premium Edition.

It's not the kitchen sink Songbird Edition (they have a listing for that too but $30 and I saw no nearby stock) but it's got [customspoiler=an art book, key chain, small statuette etc]
cVqlzMT.jpg
[/customspoiler] with it. And of course comes with a Steam key.

I got a better story for you. A few winters ago I bought some Star Wars games from Steam at 75% off and kept them in my inventory and decided to sell them off because I wasn't going to play them right away... and those games have yet to hit 75% off again.

I tried doing a search for BL2 and Max Payne 3... I am now super sad...

The only one in stock near me is the Sims 3 with Katy Perry. What's sad is that now I'm tempted to get it just because.
I actually really like The Sims 3 (shut up) and don't own Showtime yet, but I don't think I'd even be tempted at that price. I'd rather just wait for another $7.50 sale on Origin if I decide to get it in the future.

I hate the security stuff like Captcha they have on the net.  For some reason, I often can't read them and have to refresh over and over until I find one I can.

Doesn't seem to be something that'll bother most Steam users.   I feel for you trader folks though.  That's probably going to be  a big pain to anybody who trades often.

I don't do a lot of trading. Probably 95% of all trades that I've done over the past year have involved moving cards, which were farmed on my alt, over to my main so i can sell them. Even with that, I tend to wait until I have at least 50 or so cards before bothering to trade them over. So this is probably only gonna be a minor inconvenience for me.

Still, it a shame that steam couldn't provide a "I am not an idiot who clicks on malware links" opt out.
