More like "Ultra ignores your previous graphics settings so it starts up at the lowest possible quality."

Apparently the game does this if you set the stage quality to low. Which I didn't. I had AE maxed out. Dammit, Capcom.

That's what happens when the game graphics are set to low. I remember something along the lines of a setting for simplified backgrounds or something in the options. It's for low spec machines so that people with shitty graphics cards can still play the game with 60 fps. Edit: I see you figured it out. Took me a bit of time to type that. Also make sure that auto save is turned on or manually save to keep the settings.

Wait, did they really port stuff from SFxT other than the game's characters? I read that the craftable backgrounds are apparently shots of its stages and thought they were making that up...

Jeez, Capcom just out-Capcomed itself.

It's kind of obvious when the engines the same and all the added characters were in SFxT. (Except Decapre which is really just new clothing for Cammy and changed up animation.)

I think this is pretty much the final nail in the coffin for SFxT. There's no way Capcom will ever fix the game now.

I just ran across this, Duranzo, an XInput to Xinput wrapper, allowing you to remap your controller for games that don't let you.  It's almost half as cool as BetterDS3 for 360 controller users.

Ugh, I didn't care for the first one so I have no interest in this one. Too much "jumping on platforms in the right sequence so that boulders don't run over me and I don't spontaneously combust because the platforms inexplicably have periodic jets of flame that shoot up from underneath"--in other words, the opposite of fun.

Considering people got Murdered in Never Settle which was a $50 game (which dropped to like $10 within a couple of months, but still) getting a $20 game feels like a jip. :p

I doubt they will include cheat dlc by default (gotta pay more!). And now you can disable DLC so that's not problem anymore.

Okay misread. Going back and re-reading your original post I now think you meant it should activate everywhere BUT Asia according to your interpretation of the steamdb.

I still stand by the three Europeans here would be better off checking reddit. Some Germans there claimed they had to use a vpn to activate it FWIW.

Except you said Asians so make up your mind.

And the like 3 Europeans who post here can't get in on that deal. It's already been said to be region locked. Unless they are using a vpn, which they probably shouldn't be advertising publicly if they are doing that and there is some risk involved.

Really though if Europeans want to know aboyt region locks for Steam game deals they are better off going to Reddit since that place is a veritable European Union.

I thought the base game was great, plus the steam version already has a free high-res texture pack.  

Never bought any of the DLC based on all the comments I read about them here.  So I guess I am ok with them milking the franchise a bit.  I don't feel the need to buy the new version.

Feels like it's geared towards "next-gen" console owners mainly anyway.

Was surprised there was a complete Tomb Raider w/ all the DLC and not a Sleeping Dogs one. Now to wait a few another year for the cheeps.

I don't really think any of the DLCs for Sleeping Dogs are "cheats" except maybe the Red Envelope one, which gives you easy access to a bunch of in-game currency (which is surprisingly hard to come by without this--I never got the "flashy dresser" or whatever achievement for buying all of the outfits because I ran out of money). Each of the DLCs tends to come with different outfits which provide different bonuses but none of them are game-breaking and none of them unlock any of the martial-arts moves you have to do manually in the game by collecting jade statues, so I don't know what anyone's beef would be with them.

For my money, though, the only really essential DLCs are the Zodiac Tournament and the one with the fancy car. The supernatural one is a bit goofy and very irritating at times due to the mechanics of some of the fights and the post-story "you got busted down to a rookie" cult one was lame because it took away all of the toys that you earned in your playthrough.

Top Dog Silver, Top Dog Gold, and the High Roller DLC are all cheats and worse than the Red Envelope DLC.. The Top Dog DLCs boost your level pretty high at the start of the game, I don't know why you wouldn't consider that a cheat.

Blame it on a lack of research. I think I completely ignored those when I was playing the game a few years ago and I didn't remember they existed.

True. But unlike Portal it's actually enjoyable.

When I'm President of the United States, as Saints Row IV has taught me is inevitable, my gulags will all contains PCs with no games other than Portal and prisoners will be forced to play it over and over until they're begging for solitary confinement or execution.

EDIT: Also, I seem to recall that you can buy some kind of confectionary in Sleeping Dogs.

The game is banned in Germany because of their nanny state guidelines. Everyone else should be fine.
