Hopefully no one here bought it through Humble recently (I think it was less than a dollar).

Bad news, unfortunately we're unable to provide steam keys for those who purchased through Humble Bundle as Metal Dead's presence on there is through another distributor. We actually handle the Steam distribution ourselves so it's kind of a separate entity. Really sorry for the inconvenience guys, and thanks for your support!

And this is why EA is viewed as a joke by most people. If even a relatively-well-funded outfit like Double Fine can't pull it off, what hope do all of these deluded fools with half of a game concept have?

Maybe Schafer finally figured out that having a mad gamestravaganza is an interesting way to get headlines but maybe not the best way to actually develop products to completion. Perhaps DF will just stick with one or two prospective games in the future instead of trying to develop four or five at a time.

I like how all 4 of his reviews are for his own games. He even reviewed that "So many me" game twice.

I get that he's the developer and loves his game, but posting a positive review on his own work seems kinda tacky.

I created a new account. Someone posted in the comments on the Epic Bundle page that the whole thing is a hoax and that the link to get the bundle is only a referral link. They have a refer a friend for free money campaign now.

Actually they've always had the refer a friend referral link, at least since I've been a member (I registered back in 2011 to pre-order Deus Ex: Human Revolution). Back then the referrals were worth $5 instead of $2 (I guess a lot of people must have abused it for them to change the amount).

But yeah, that's pretty damn scummy of them.

 
Honestly it doesn't bother me so much he posted a positive review for his own game, but he should disclose in his review "HEY I DEVELOPED THIS GAME SO I'M A LITTLE BIASED" instead of trying to pass it off as a review written by some random steam user.

EDIT: Also he should probably take some creative writing courses. I expect this kind of writing from someone who is still in high school.

For an indie title, ARES is really impressive. For a full on downloadable title, this is impressive. ARES does so many things right, it’s hard not to want more. Even with its short story mode, there is always more to do in the game.

You can leave comments. You have to go to the individual reviews on steamcommunity, but not in the Steam store. I left two comments on his reviews. Promptly downvoted all of them.
