But selling bundle keys for games you already own is okay, even though you'll have access to the DRM-free versions? That's a screwed up sense of morality. You people shouldn't pretend to take the high ground on digital goods because half of the keys in here were exploited in one way or another, whether it was through the Ubisoft glitch only available to foreign countries, or taking advantage of a charity fundraiser by spending exactly the minimum.

Stop being so anal about Steam keys. You can't possibly police every single person here. You don't honestly know how anyone's keys were obtained except your own. For all you know, everyone here is selling Steam keys and keeping their DRM-free versions. He may have already received a PM concerning his request.

See that is something I did not know. Now my position changes. I am glad your not like the other dude who can not formulate his own opinion.

Now if your advocating for these people to be punished in some way, how does that affect everyone else who trade/sell indie keys from humble and royal bundles? I was under the impression those were banned but still see some people offering those.

I am not advocating for people to be "punished". What I would like to see happen is not allowing public discussion of buying a copy of the game with the explicit intent to give one person a Steam key and the other person uses the DRM-free version. Obviously things like this will always happen, but I don't think the site should be a haven for publicly coordinating these sort of things.

You seem like a delightful person. I personally agree that the individual keys should not be sold but that is not the point here. The point is people are explicitly (do I need to make that bigger text like you seem to favor or are you ok reading and comprehending it as-is?) discussing specific plans to split the cost of ONE game meant for ONE person.

Piracy can be really tricky to tackle, with a lot of grey area situations. For example, a lot of DRM-free downloads can be downloaded and installed as many times on as many different machines as you wish. Where is the line? You could sell access to your DRM-free download at $1 per link and profit off a game, at the expense of the developers. Regardless of your personal view on what's acceptable and what's not, blatant attempts at piracy really shouldn't be discussed openly on this public forum, that is built around getting people deals. If you want to participate in game piracy and the like, there are numerous other forums and websites that encourage such behavior.

Calling someone wrong because you do not agree with their moral choice or point-of-view is kind of backwards with the point of having an opinion in the first place. If you do not like what the user is doing, then don't join in on his offer. Otherwise, why not leave the moderating to the moderators and stop using your own opinions as fact and moderation.

Really, calling someone out for trying to trade a set of keys for something? Sheesh... Seems like all you do in this topic. Call people out for trading MS codes that are on sale, for trading humble bundles that might still be grey, and now for posting something legitimately that can be had for $1. If you don't like their prices or products, why not just ignore their post? None of the people you called out were openly trying to rip anyone off.

There is an ignore list. Add me to it. I couldn't care less. I think there is nothing wrong with letting people know about where someone might be able to get a better deal. The guy with the ms code said he got charged tax, I thought that was bullshit cause microsoft charges taxes at the point of sale. I've never been charged for psn or points, but that may vary state to state. Someone is trying to trade the thq humble bundle, its still on sale for 1 dollar. If you don't like what I have to say, again add me to your ignore list, and fuck off.

Edit: its funny bullshit isn't auto censored but fuck is. Yes, I know I can turn it off.

You're right: people do sell for a dollar. And that is what I would like to get. You've already figured out what I "expect" to get for them. I do not see why you feel the need to infer that I expect more, seeing as I've never asked for anything more. Yes, perhaps I have games that I would like to see that are worth "more," but that hardly means I expect just that considering I've mentioned I have both paypal and amazon gc.

I thought this thread was for this: to buy, sell, and trade games (along with buying bundled games with others for a lower price). It is all that I am, and have been doing. There is no need to call me out, as if I am attempting to blatantly rip people off.. :\

EDIT:

At the tax stuff, it is bs that people would be charged with it. Whenever I've done any trades, or buying for others outside of US, I warn them that I live near seattle and that I have to pay tax on steam purchases. (at least I did when I lived there, I've moved since then and haven't had this issue)

As for getting a so called "better deal" with myself, again, you'd have to infer that I am expecting more than what is the worth. Which I have done no such thing. I've listed games I have, as I do not need nor want them. I list them because I would rather someone else enjoy them than they sit there and rot. Truth be told, I'll probably end up giving most away elsewhere because they're hardly worth selling.

...Albeit, I have listed the THQ bundle a bit prematurely and will fix this..
