Heads up, SCAMMER ALERT.

fear_Me_All just tried to scam me.

It started when he wanted to buy a Desura key for La-Mulana from me. He asked if the Steam key would be included too, and I clearly told him no, I'm only selling the Desura key. He said okay, sent me the money, and I sent him the Desura key.

A day or so later, he asks me if the key was bought from the Groupees Build a Greenlight Bundle. I tell him that it doesn't matter where I got it, our business is done. He then tells me "it come with steam key has well it does matter i paid for it", and threatens to leave me negative feedback and report me to both Groupees and CAG. Since I bought the bundle, I'm the owner of whatever keys it included. I did let him know that if Groupees handled distribution of the Steam keys for La-Mulana by placing the Steam key IN your Desura account, yes, he would get the Steam key (since they have done it this way before), but if they do not do it that way, he will not get the key.

After telling him this, he stopped fighting me completely, and instead says that the key doesn't work. Alright, I had two keys and one of them I did redeem. Although I was almost certain which one was already redeemed, I'm human, I make mistakes, so I told him to friend me on Desura so I can check to see if he redeemed the key or not. He does this, and okay, he doesn't have any games in his account.

Then I try redeeming the key I sent him on my account to check it. Desura gives me a notice saying that a user named "quisuis" already activated this key. Funny coincidence, both Fear_Me_All and quisuis on Desura are from Canada and are 43 years old, and quisuis' account was JUST created.

And now if you try to look up the quisuis account, he's made the account private so no one can see. Trying to cover his tracks or something, apparently.

Anyways, the only reason I'm posting this publicly is to warn everyone here about what happened. Obviously this guy has done loads of legitimate trades, but this was a clear, malicious scamming attempt, where he first threatened me to get a Steam key out of the trade, and then lied about a key not working so that I'd send him a second Desura key.

There are a lot of amazing, trustworthy, honest sellers on this site. I love CAG, and I have NEVER found a better bunch of trustworthy people to do business with. This is my first negative experience here, and honestly, this guy does NOT need to be pulling this crap in this community.

Thank you for the heads up. I haven't had any bad experiences here trading yet thankfully but it is disappointing that it happens every once in awhile with fellow CAGers.
