Interesting. I just saw it in my gift section thanks to your post. Is this to keep for good? Are they hurting on cash so bad they're in a spot to give away the base game to try to sell expansions? Never played a destiny game. Excited to see what it's like.

Yes, you get to keep it for good. However, as mentioned, it's only the base game.

Here's a quote from PCWorld's article on this promotion, "It’s just the base game, meaning the original eight-hour campaign, four patrol zones, a level cap of 20, and a Light Level cap of 300. You’ll also have access to the multiplayer Crucible modes and maps, the co-op Strikes, and the original Leviathan raid."
