wonder if they'll just redo every sale now that VC went on sale again, or if they'll just redo a couple. Who knows :p The only one I was on the fence about and didn't get was Bully, still unsure if that it came back I'd get it.

Im wondering the same thing...

I missed out on the GTA Classics pack for 7.50... My fav of the bunch Vice City on sale now, dunno what to do lol.

I had said this a page or two ago, but it's worth repeating: Midnight Club II does not work under Windows 7.

Having that been said, I wish Steam repeated some of the better deals, particularly the Tuesday ones.

EDIT: It seems that, on the game's Steam Forum, someone found a Vista/7 patch. I haven't verified it myself, but it seems people are reporting that it works. Windows 7 users, buy, install, and [hopefully] play the game at your own risk.

I'm taking the risk now, I loved this game! I'll let yall know what happens, I'm downloading it now.

EDIT: The patch works and took about 3 seconds to apply. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit if you care.....
Now...here's hoping they put Manhunt back up for sale. Come on Manhunt!
I second this, though I have a high likelihood of missing it due to work. If I miss it, though, I will have effectively boycotted the whole "timed sale."

I'd hate to have to buy a game I like now; It will make me look like a hypocrite after all my acidic commentary about the whole "timed" aspect.

I ended up getting Midnight Club 2 it works great with the wireless 360 controllers. The left and right triggers even work without xpadder.

Well, I always thought the first game was addicting. If the game wears on you, it won't be until the midway point that you begin to feel it. Meanwhile, the story is nicely presented. It's worth a look.

The sequel is more of the same gameplay and general storytelling, but it's much shorter.

Overall, if you're paying $3.74 for the whole pack, you'll get your money's worth. You just have to like third-person action-shooters on the PC.

I suppose this was somewhat expected, since they were running low on games to offer. Nevertheless, that is a slap in the face to anyone that bought the games separately days before. I hope today's the last day for these sales; This has been quite the disappointing week.

I think I'll avoid Steam the next week they do a "timed sales" promotion.

I'm so fucking sick of these sales already. Is this the 5th time? lol I kid.

R*, how about you give us some red dead videos you bastards, then maybe I'll buy another game :D

Yes, after they put up the GTA classics it was pretty much given that the Max Payne bundle would get a 75% off. Of course we wouldn't have known that when Max Payne 1 was on sale, but we knew this when Max Payne 2 went up. It sucks, but people who got in on the later deal but would have gotten a bundle should have seen this coming.

Steam does that kind of stuff all the time. During the holiday sale I bought the id super pack on sale and two days later they slashed the price on it even more. Oh well at least the put the stuff on sale.

Wow, I didn't expect to even lay eyes on the Manhunt deal, especially after the last time. Whenever I think about buying the game, though, I think, "What if I'm charged with a crime? They'll go straight to my Steam account and say, 'Look, everyone! He bought MANHUNT; He must be a lunatic!'"

Perhaps I'll pick up the PS2 version at GameStop someday. Perhaps I'll pay in cash. Perhaps I'll wear a baseball cap when I do so.

I am really glad i passed on Max Payne 2 yesterday. I almost bit on that one twice. Told myself I would wait and only grab manhunt whenever it hit...good things happen for those who wait. 3 great games for 6 bucks is killer.

this weekend has not been kind to me between the rockstar sale and the codemasters sale...my backlog has expaded to 5 or 6 games
Do the Max Payne games hold up as games, or is it more matter of nostalgia and history for most folks?
They hold up just fine. Both are great games IMHO.

Then you toss in the mods that have come out for them and it is money well spent. Cant argue with under $4... have tangible copies but steam makes things easy.

Perfect timing! I was hoping I wouldn't miss it if they put Manhunt up again!

In for Manhunt for $2.49...and with that, I'm now done with the R* sale. Bought the GTA Classics pack and Manhunt all for just under $11. :)

I went for it. Between the Max Payne pack and the GTA Classics Pack, I feel that I did quite well in this sale.

Thanks for the advice, fellow CAGs!

GTA IV for $7.50?
I really don't see how you can go wrong for that price. Especially if you are a fan of Rockstar. Not going to get much cheaper, and even if it did, not by much dollar wise. 7.50 versus 5.00 isn't much, and most good solid full length titles don't get the 3.74 or 2.50 treatment till they have been out for quite a long time.

Just purchased GTA4 for $7.50, but man 15GB will take forever to download. Steam needs to cut this out my bank account is running low on cash.

i hope the classic pack is coming back on sale :)
i'm gonna buy DiRT now :D

oh, and max payne 2 is on sale again atm!

passing on GTA IV, played through 60% of it on PS3.. I did get the episode back a couple days ago and enjoying that. Runs kinda iffy though on my machine but works well enough

This is also like the fifth time it's been on sale at that price.
really hoping the classics collection goes back on sale...if it does, i will be a very happy man
you shall be a happy man. go buy!
