Aren't three of those games (GTA1, 2, and Wild Metal) free already? Is Steam actually charging for those separately?
 
Pretty sweet deal if you're into PC gaming. Those games are all classics (for the most part). Too bad there isn't something like that offered on consoles.

I'm tempted, having never played San Andreas or Max Payne, but it's still a little steep for me. Maybe at $30.

max payne 1 is an awesome game. what makes it great is the story line. i never played part 2 or on the console version, but the best version in my opinion is the pc due to the controls for aiming and moving [compare fps on pc to console].

btw, steam sucks.
 
That's a pretty sweet deal. I would def. get it if I didn't have most of those games on console. Max Payne 1 is def one of my fav games ever, the story line is so great.

Just wondering, why does everyone hate steam so much? I used to but it's gotten alot better.

What has changed in the past few years to make Steam awesome? It seems the same as it was 4 years ago to me, I've never had a problem with it. It still takes up 40-50MB of memory though, but most people have more RAM now than they did back then I guess.

I was forced to use steam while my 360 was broken, and it still sucks just like it did when I played CS:S and CS 1.6, all they did was make the friends list work more often.
 
It was the first thread that came up for the collection deal that I just saw on SD and wanted to report on here. I don't really game on PC, but I figure people always bitch about making a new thread for an old deal. Excuse me for not checking for a newer thread when an older one exists already.

Now I completely disagree with you about steam sucking, but when you say "make the friends list work more often." is where I really have to draw the line. It didn't work *at all* before.
