Steel Battalion XBOX 360 $47.99 Newegg.com

I remember driving to 2 gamestops because the first one sold my preorder of this for xbox. The game itself was ok but the controller was badass for sure. Not even tempting for me but would be good for a collector. Dunno bout that price though...

Are you confusing this game with the original for the Xbox? This one requires Kinect, I'm not sure what you mean by "the controller is badass". Thanks for the post OP.

Yeah i was thinking about the original one.

I'd buy this game in an instant if it worked with the old Xbox controller. Saw it at PAX East(a friend played it), and the game looks cool, but the hybrid controller/Kinect control scheme doesn't hold a candle to the original 40 button/switch, 3 pedal monster. I mean, come on: it had its own windshield wipers.

i still play the original one all by myself. Such a cool game. At one point i had a little fort built to hold everything like a cockpit. Wish it could still be played online and on the 360.

They are calling the new one "Steel Battalion" as well? For a second there I thought it was a re-rerelease. For $50 I'd buy another copy.

The Gamers with Jobs podcast talked a little about it last week. They played it at PAX East too and said the Kinect controls were not very precise, and he felt like he was just randomly standing up and flailing around to try and do things. They mention there is an option to play with a phyiscal controller (only), but they weren't allowing that during the demo at the show.

I think I'll hold out for a demo to at least try it.
