Part of what I do for a living; researching social stratification/urban demography. Ain't exactly a hobby, though I do enjoy it.

fair enough. If he wants the last word it's all his. I've got real world work to do, and my off the clock work involves KZ2 and SFIV right now. ;)
 
That and they have to emphasize the scientific properties of their field to avoid being dismissed. It sounds kind of negative, but I mean it in a good way as it is what I have my undergraduate degree in.
 
Cramer was on the Today show this morning, and they brought up this interview. Essentially, he's going around painting a picture of how this was an "attack on the media." His lines were along the lines of "CNBC reported this downfall more than anyone else, and it was unfair for Stewart to attack us(me) that way."

As soon as the transcript/vid is up, I'll post a link. It was rather appalling that he KNOWS he was made to look like a fool, and now takes this whole "they shouldn't be attacking the media" approach.
 
I just watched that. Either he didn't understand Stewart's point or is choosing to twist it into something else. Saying that Stewart was blaming him and CNBC for the financial mess, which isn't true at all. Stewart was just saying that the things Cramer said in those video clips was representative of how people in finance think. That people like that are to blame, not specifically Cramer or CNBC. Now if Cramer were still a hedge fund manager, i guess he'd be one of the people Stewart was pointing the blame at.

He's a smart guy, he's spinning like a motherfucking top.
 
I firmly believe he understood Stewart's point completely, he was just spinning it in to something that the "public" would take his side on. Odds are more people watch the Today show than Mad Money (or The Daily Show for that matter), and given the press that this has already gotten, he's trying to paint this whole "it's not me or my fault, I'm a victim" picture.
