Stop Delaying Doa4!!! (Holy crap.. OUT NOW!)
I'm doubting a 22nd release date, the 22nd is a Thursday - very odd for a game to release on a Thursday.
Kingdom Hearts 2,
Neo Geo Battle Colloseum, and
Naruto 3 for PS2

all come out this thursday!

Its going to be an expensive week......

Maybe there gonna get the online part right!!!!! To much lag on doau. I would rather have a perfect game and wait a few weeks or months than to pay $60 for a piece of crap.

Kingdom Hearts was delayed until March.

umm...I think the lag is an end-user problem ;) I rarely get lag in that game.
I know we all hope that delay means good things, but doesn't it, more often than not, mean impending crappiness?
not in this case. these are the guys who made ninja gaiden...all their games get delayed, but they are all pretty much glitch free with flawless gameplay...so i guess would come down to your taste in games.
I'm calling it now: DOA4 isn't coming out this year. Mark my words. It would be a shame too, seeing as it would the first "next-gen" fighter and it was "shaping" up nicely.
My perdiction still stands. If anything, DOA 4 isn'tgoing to be released untill feb.
Kingdom Hearts was delayed until March.
He meant the Japanese versions... for all of those games, actually. But I can see how that could have been easily overlooked.

fuck

markman, our resident fighting game insider, is saying jan. 4th.
I know we all hope that delay means good things, but doesn't it, more often than not, mean impending crappiness?
yeah, it usually does. i dont know what they can accomplish in that extra 6 days. delays usually mean they are having problems. i hope its not the case this time, i just wish i had this game for christmas.

Itagaki, if nothing else, will not release a game he's not happy with. Yeah, the delays are because of one problem or another, but the game will be excellent once it's actually released--Team Ninja will delay the game as long as it takes to make it glitch-free and perfect.

Another reason i'm glad I still haven't bought the 360. Once, this game is out and the reviews are out then i'm defintely buying a 360.

Well, GamePro reviewed it (as if that means anything...). If this game isn't finished, I'm wondering how the hell they reviewed it.

It's GamePro. They reviewed the unreleased Half-Life for Dreamcast. They're retarded. Which reminds me, I need to make a thread making fun of the protips..

I bought Dead or Alive Ultimate at TRU today. It'll be my first foray in the franchise, to get myself ready for Dead or Alive 4.

I also bought doa ultimate. I read the final hands on preview on ign and it seems they revamped the counter system and a couple of other things (can't wait any longer I have to have this game!!!)
is that d.o.a. game b.c.?
Only DOA:3 is BC... not DOA:U..... I tried it w/ no Avid.. But I expect it to be BC very soon..

Doa3 has slowdown problems when you hit someone into a wall...

All signs now are pointing to the game (finally) coming out this week. I've heard Wednesday, Thursday or Friday depending on your store, so if you're interested in this game, you may wanna give em a call.

Are they delaying this just to increase the hype for it? I mean what can you really fix delaying it one week at a time.

At any rate, if they did delay it to increase hype, it worked on me! I have a feeling if it had been a launch title I would have quickly passed over it but now I'm seriously considering getting it.

Looks like best buy is claiming a 12/30 release date
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7386152&type=product&id=1122654539521

Getintothegame.com (Target's game website) is also saying 12/30
http://www.getintothegame.com/pages/gamespace/index.php?id=928260

Could it be? Could it really be coming out finally?!?!

the game is done....there's really no official date on it, so technically, it's not delayed at all (except for 11/22.) i'd still be surprised (and really fucking happy) if it came out this week.
both ebgames and gamestop now show 12/30/05 WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EB Games still shows 12/29/05. Calm down.

damnit now they delayed it another day, when is this going to end? just put the damn game out. I won't eve have time to pick it up friday, this really pisses me off.

I was just checking out the Xbox forums at Xbox.com and it's out in Japan, and other people are reporting stores will be selling or shipping tomorrow here in the US. Someone said their store already received their shipment, but they have to hold for the "official" release date tomorrow.

If anyone doubts the game has been released, check out the mentioned forums - people have it in their gamercard.

So looks like people will be playing over the long weekend. Swwweeeeeet!

the heavens have smiled down upon 360 owners everywhere.....

now just have to wait for the game to arrive to my house......

Can anybody report on the online connection quality when this comes out? Remember everyone that is getting this for online play, DOA Ultimate was horrendous when it came to lag. I played Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and others and all were better than DOA. I'll probably pick this up on the weekend or early next week if I here good thing about online play.

Hopefully that press release is accurate, i was very dissapointed when this wasnt out for launch. Hopefully the delays were worth it

Really? On a slow connection, yeah, DOA doesn't play well (I had trouble on 350kb down). But on a quick connection (I'm now on 1500kb down), DOAU has by far the best response time of any online fighter I've played. It was like there was no lag at all, and the other guy was sitting in the room next to me. All the other fighters I found to be terrible by comparison.

Delay it if it needs it. I'd rather have an improved game...

Prince of Persia: SoT was incredibly polished. Then they rushed Warrior Within out for the holidays and it was glitchy beyond belief (all the more annoying because the core mechanics I really did enjoy). I think this is also true (although much less so, fortunately) of The Two Thrones, although I haven't played much of it yet. Time, ironically, will tell.

Well, I just spent all my gift cards, so I'll probably give this a rent this week. Or I might just buy it with my check... what to do?

Me too. And I spent most of the cash I had set aside for DoA4 at Media Play getting THAW for 40% off. Damn my impulsiveness. Oh well, at least I get my blockbuster.com coupons tomorrow so I can use on of those on DoA. Maybe its better this way, I mean, DoA4 looks amazing but my attention span for fighters is pretty short.
