Stop Delaying Doa4!!! (Holy crap.. OUT NOW!)
Can anybody report on the online connection quality when this comes out? Remember everyone that is getting this for online play, DOA Ultimate was horrendous when it came to lag. I played Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and others and all were better than DOA. I'll probably pick this up on the weekend or early next week if I here good thing about online play.
IGN's review (which is insider only dammit, but posted at gamefaqs) says that they rarely encountered lag. they said the same thing about Ultimate also and it seems like people are split on that(I rarely get lag in it but some of my friends can't play it online) just depends on your connection.

If you wait for Best Buy to get it in, you can use the $10 off coupon and get the game for $50. I'm thinking bout picking up a stick also but i heard that they arent to good. I just read the review of the game on IGN and was pretty happy with some of the changes that were made to the game. There is now less time to counter which is a very good thing and should make the game more complex. Also online is said to be 99% lag free. We can always hope...
I've had my two arcade sticks since the start of Dec. now, just waiting on this stupid game. lol.
Could you answer this mysterious question for me? Are they wired or wireless? None of the websites seem to indicate either way. (Not that it would affect my purchasing decision but it would be nice to know.)
Anyone know what time Wal-Mart puts games out?
Usually at night but I suppose its possible that they could do stocking during the day too, I just don't find it very likely, especially right now with how busy they are.

Well it's finally out now at least, a friend called me this morning and told me EB got it in, so I got one of the last non pre-order copies.

Figures.
I got a giftcard at Wal-Mart and need to return something at CC. Neither of them have the game. Although Target, Gamestop and EB have copies, and I have a a giftcard but It's only $20 at Gamestop.

Decisions. Decisions. I got New Years Eve off and Monday off, so I need to grab DOA4 sometime by Monday. Hmm.

yeah soooooooo.......THIS GAME IS fuckING AMAZING!!!

everything i hoped for...and more, everything is changed and improved.
I'm picking this up when I get paid.
Me Too... Thankfully I got paid today!
Now back to DOA4...

I'm kind of on the fence on whether or not I should buy this game. I'm not really a big fighter fan (the only fighting games I really like are SSB and Soul Calibur 2) but I know that the 360 is about to go through a long dry season and it would be nice to have another 360 game to play. Anybody have any opinions? If this game is for seasoned fighters only, I think I might stay away.

well, it's quite challenging but the more you play, the better you get at it...kinda like Ninja Gaiden. It's easy to do the moves and basic combos without much practice. it's fun as hell and online play makes it even better.

I've got a BestBuy gift card, so I figured I would go ahead and buy it there. So I checked BestBuy.com on my lunch break from work and it says that it is Available at my closest store. I rushed over there after I got off and I see it nowhere on the shelves. I thought it sold it in the couple hours since I checked the website, so I decided to check with the clerk just in case... He tells me that they aren't going to be selling it til tomorrow. I told him the website says it was available today and he just looked at me with a blank stare... fucking BestBuy!

This game is way too addictive. I'm not even a fan of fighting games, but I'm loving this game. The single player portion is very hard and the boss is a huge pain in the ass. It feels like it's way too hard to play. Though once you jump online, you'll find out the complete opposite. Once you know the controls and practice a bit, that's all you'll need to play online. I sat here all day playing this game. I think I put about 6-7 hours into it today and I hardly ever put that much time into a game in one day. It's a blast.
To those who have the game...

Beat the game with Zack...The ending is so stupid, its hilarious!!!!
Yeah I liked Zach's ending, it was pretty cool. Have you seen Hatori's? Now that's one interesting ending... Same with Katsumi's.
Talk about a game thats stingey with achievement points.

But it 'tis quite a sweet game.
no kidding! I only got 40 for 20 wins in a row.

okay, i need some sleep

Beat story mode with every character to unlock the spartan? Lame. I've got some work to do once the game gets here.

It's worth it! the story mode is really well done this time around. the spartan is a dork though...

Man this game is tough. I don't normally play fighting games, so maybe thats why, but damn! I atleast beat the story mode with Tina. The online mode is....interesting.

I was pretty much going to say the exact same thing. I've bought fighting games here and there and I've never owned a DOA but this game is freakin awesome. I can't hardly put it down.

Eliot whips ass but I think he is the most feminine male character I think I've seen in a fighting game. That may include GGX Bridget. Does his ending involve him revealing the tragic secret that he's actually a girl??

He's got nothing on the "guy" in Magna Carta

hit "DoA Online" in the main menu, then Player Match, choose quick match, custom match(i.e. optimatch) or create a match. when you get to that lobby, hit start, then Join Match.

Yes, I know that, but the actually play against someone. Anyways, I did figure out how to play 2 matches and both were laggy as hell. What a POS
