What have you guys learned about store selection from past launches?
Here's my specific dilemma:
I think I'm going to go Wal-Mart for the midnight release and indoor atmosphere. I can go to the Wal-Mart here in town or one about 30 minutes away in a much smaller town.
My town:
80,000 ppl
25,000 students
1 Wal-Mart Supercenter
Other town:
12,000 ppl (25,000 in the county)
~0 students
1 Wal-Mart Supercenter
Other town seems like a no-brainer, but is it possible that my town will get way more PS3s given that it's a larger town and a college town? Also, my town has Best Buy, Target, EB Games, etc, etc where the other town has none of the above.
Do you guys have any thoughts/experiences with this?
