I've never even heard of this title. Considering Sega's successful take on strategy with Valkyria Chronicles, I'm tempted to give it a shot. Anyone have hands-on time with the game?

This game looks interesting. Supposedly its taking RTS to 3d. Like going on rooftops and underground or something.

On the fence with this one

That's what I read. Sounds like Valkyria meets Armored Core.

I'm with ya. The 'whip select' control impetus looks pretty cool. I want to see a review or read some hands on impressions before I make the jump though.

Looks like it's been getting pretty "meh" reviews. Of course, that may not mean much since fun games don't always get scores they deserve. Gameplay videos make this game look interesting.

Definitely interested in this one.. it's made by Creative Assembly, the makers of the Total War games and Spartan: Total Warrior. Still, since it's a console RTS I'm going to have to rent it/see some reviews first.
Its $49 in stores... @_@ I just bought it yesterday.

Pretty fun game.
What stores? And are you talking about the PC or the 360/PS3 versions?

I've tried it and I have to say, as a big RTS fan, this game is atrocious. The whip-select system is tedious and imprecise. For example, let's say you have six squads. Well, you have to select one squad move it and then select another squad repeat, etc. In one mission I tried I ended up with a good 13 squads and the mechanic becomes very tiresome. Not to mention you are locked into a pretty low level view from the squad you have selected which means you have to move in small steps within your sight radius which makes the movement even worse. You also don't target enemy squads, you merely move units into range and then they attack on their own, which means there are no tactics dealing with what to focus your attacks on, etc. This is definitely a pass.
I've never heard of it either. I wonder if it's worth playing.
...sega really should get a better advertising team for their games, never even heard of this. Or maybe they should just reexamine their priorities. I'm lookin at you sonic unleashed.....and various other sequels.
