Even with in-store pickup, there's still tax, so it essentially (almost) covers that. You're just as well off going with Amazon and free shipping. I mean, even with Guitar Hero II (360), you don't even get $5 off!

the way i made it $34 is that i had a $5 coupon code they gave after that whole mega man X collection screw up thingy lol

What I find funny with this whole Mother's Day 2-day sale is that they also have select TV DVDs on sale for 29.99. But, the only ones they have for the sale are A-Team, Knight Rider, and Magnum PI. I don't know about your mom, but WHY????? Maybe I could see this for Father's day, but for Mom???
 
my bad, my mind is fuzzy from studying for finals... what day is mothers day? I ask because i always confuse this day with my parents wedding anniversary.

What's the logic of having a sale for Mother's Day the actual day of Mother's Day? By then, most people have bought their gifts.

OMG have you guys seen their stupid mothers day commercial? "there a lot you might not know about you mom, like how she LOVES electronics..." It goes something like that. One, I do know my mom and two, she can't even use half the features on her cell phone...she just learned to txt a few days ago...

BB and their marketing schemes, makes me sad and angry.

You do make a point, mothers day is not like "get yourself a hooker" day so i guess having this sale before hand makes sense. I really should not be posting after 3 am.
 
Having a sale on Mother's Day would make perfect sense. Every year I give my mother a $100 Visa gift card and she immediatly goes on a shopping spree. What better time of the year to have a sale than when 50 million women recieve gift cards? :D
 
this also works with the Halo 3 preorder and the $5 points, looks like in store pickup is now an option on the regular version
 
yea, 5% is sucky either way. shipping and/or tax or using up gas to drive to a B&M store. damn you BB...
 
I don't want to light any fuses here, per se, but I find it very amusing how Best Buy (amongst others) over the last year or two has made it a priority to feature as many ethnically ambiguous people as possible. It's kind of like those illusions that you see as a different image depending on whether you focus on the white as the foreground, or the black.

Now go right ahead and get indignant and tell me how this has nothing to do with the deal presented. Please, by all means!
